Shortly after meeting Michael, Marisa met another Valletta! Marisa and Marissa (yes, it does get a little confusing, spellings will help here!) first met on the softball field during high school tryouts. Both girls played first base and as Marissa was a senior and Marisa a freshman, Marisa always looked up to Marissa. While these two have never played together on the same softball team, put them together for games like Pictionary and Code names and there's no defeating them! Marisa is privileged that the person she looked up to as a freshmen is now becoming her sister!
Meet Julia! Julia was the first person Marisa met while interning at Albany Med. Julia was actually in charge of onboarding Marisa. One day after training, Marisa needed a spot to sit and work, she pulled a chair into Julia’s office and never left. Before either of them knew it, they were officemates spending 8+ hours a day together, getting breakfast and lunch together and running clinical studies together. This eventually turned into the two going to the gym together, grabbing dinner and drinks together and spending most of their free time together. They have been inseparable ever since!
With all the time Marisa spent with Julia, it is no surprise that she met her then roommate Marta. Marisa and Marta instantly bonded over their pets and wine. Marta has the biggest heart, whether its adopting a dog (Mazey) Marisa’s sister found on the side of the road, or sitting through an hour-long thesis defense to support her friend, she is always there. Marta pushes Marisa out of her comfort zone and makes sure she doesn’t go to bed before 9pm on a Friday/Saturday night, especially when the three are all together. It’s safe to say, Marta is the life of the party!
Marisa's niece Brooke has previous experience as a flower girl but has never been fully satisfied with her execution. She is on a mission for redemption, third times the charm! Watch out for this flower girl as she brings the charm, energy and of course, the flowers!
Nick is 1 of 3 of Michael's cousins in the bridal party. Nick and Michael spent a lot of time together growing up and continuously bonded over sports including bowling, baseball, skiing and more recently, golf. Some of Michael's most vivid memories of Nick include watching him bowl a 46 while preparing for league play, the two of them crashing into each other while on the ski slopes and enduring strange conversations in long car rides on family vacations.
