Meet the Bride

I was originally born in Renton, Washington and moved to Texas when I was 3. As a child, I was then, as I guess I am now...a spit fire, very protective and always opinionated...minus my once very loved and overly worn ruby-red, sparkly "Dorothy of Oz" shoes. I secretly wish I could still fit in them!  In December I graduated from UNT in Denton with a B.S in psychology and minor in criminal justice. My passion is forensic psychology and I'm hoping to continue my education, eventually getting my  doctorate in psychology and working for the FBI. I mean hey, go big or go home right? In the meantime, I love spending time with my guy (soon to be hubby), my family, and keeping up with my brother's endless sports events. Truly can't wait to celebrate with you all on my very special day!

Meet the Groom

I was born in Plano, TX, but raised in Frisco and attended Frisco High school, where I graduated in 2011. My dream growing up was to join the military and serve in the Army, just as my big brother, Jason did, and eventually be a Police Officer. After graduating High School I put my childhood dreams in motion and enlisted in the Army in 2011. I served this great Nation as an infantrymen for six and a half years.

After my military service I moved back to Frisco where I attended Collin College for a brief stint (It wasn't my Jam)! My plan was to go to the Police Academy, but I didn't pull the trigger right away and instead found a job in security where I ended up meeting Makenna. She pushed me to pull the trigger and go chase my dream in Law Enforcement.

I was hired by the Frisco Police department where I served in the jail for about a year. Being career driven, I knew it would never be enough and wanted something more. That opportunity opened up for me with The Colony Police Department in 2019, where I was enrolled in the academy and hired on as a Police Officer. Yay, lifegoals!

In the meantime, I love hanging with my best friend (the bride to be), beating the family in corn-hole (one out of ten times), and shot-gunning beers, actually, (only when I'm with my boys or when Brendan is home from college)!

Our Story

It was pretty romantic actually, both working at a sports club. (HA!) I had just started my new position as a host while Kreig worked the door kicking drunkards to the curb. We recently split from our previous relationships, so the idea of starting another didn't sound appealing. Not knowing who Kreig was, he stopped at nothing to get me to acknowledge him. I gave him no time of day, but I will admit, his persistence was extremely attractive (shhh, don't tell him, he'll get a hot head).

I finally gave in after a month, agreeing to go on a date to see where things went...Next thing you know, we're head over heels for each other.

~ I love the way Kreig makes me feel secure; being wrapped up in his arms gives me peace and serenity. He pushes me in ways I never realized I was capable of, all while holding me accountable. I could write a whole novel on the many reasons I love him, but most importantly, I love how he loves me and takes care of me. Growing up, I knew I would marry a man like my father—someone selfless, driven, hard-working and supportive. Kreig is all of those and so much more.

~ Growing up, I always wanted the same qualities in a woman I saw in my mother. Someone so caring, loving, independent, and faithful. Makenna has those qualities and so much more. How she lights up any room she enters reminds me of the day I met her. That butterfly feeling in your stomach that gives you life. Honestly, I wouldn't be in the position I'm in today without Makenna. She pushes me daily to be a better man and human being. Growing up, I always thought the love that we share was a fairy tale, and here I am with the woman of my dreams.

The Proposal

Kreig prepared and fretted for weeks leading up to the proposal. It was set to take place in a quaint Italian restaurant with Kenna's family in tow under the ruse of a celebration for a close friends birthday. Kreig called ahead and had the entire staff and management on board and was waiting for Makenna to arrive, as it happens almost 2 hours early. A little liquid courage may have been involved!

However, after a terrible day at work, a shaving incident and a little emotional breakdown Kenna was not exactly prepared to celebrate with anyone and for any reason. The only reason the plans remained in tact was because Kreig was at the restaurant "saving" a table. There also may have been a little motherly suggestion of, "put your big girl panties on and buck up buttercup...you're going!"

After Kenna's arrival she launched into the story about her day while the wait staff was taking drink orders. During her story champagne was delivered and of course hers was special given it had the engagement ring in the flute. She promptly moves it out of her way, making the comment that she didn't order champagne, obviously not understanding what was actually about to happen.

Kreig being as anxious as he was, lost what little patience he had left and drank her champagne so he could get to the ring and ask the question he'd been dying to know the answer to all day long. Given you're reading this, you know the answer was a resounding "YES"!
