Flying to Puerto Rico
There are two airports on the island of Puerto Rico.
SJU is located in the San Juan metro area its official name is Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. This airport is a 2-hour drive to the west coast. For those who dont want to take the drive there is also an option to land in SJU and take a flight to Mayaguez using the airline Cape Air. The flight is only 20 minutes and costs under $60.
The other available airport is Located on the West Coast and is known as Aeropuerto Internacional Rafael Hernandez (BQN) which lands in Aguadilla.
Rincon Beach Resort
The west coast of Puerto Rico is very casual and beachy. There are several AirBNB's and small boutique hotels in Rincon. You have your choice for accommodations, but we are recommending The Rincon Beach Resort to our guests. On the day of the wedding, we will have transportation available from this resort. We have a block of rooms at the resort. Please contact Sasha Torres and reference "Vrettos Lopez Wedding" for discounted rates. Maria Carbonara, our travel specialist, can also assist in the room bookings but there will be a small fee associated with the room bookings.
Car Rentals
There are several car rental companies that are located directly at the airport. We recommend using the rental companies on site at the airport. There is less hassle and speedier service. We also recommend Hertz. Avis and Budget tend to have longer wait times for service and vehicles.
