Luli and Stu met in London, in March 2015, at work. Luli had just moved to London one week before, and started working in the same team, side by side, in Canary Wharf.
Two months later, in May 2015, Luli and Stu finally kissed. It was (not surprising) at a pub
Luisa made the first move to the amusement of most people. To this day Stu admits he was too drunk to realise Luisa was making a move but he was obviously very pleased when he figured it out
After 6 months of dating Stu and Luli went on their first (non-company paid) trip together to Venice.
They ate lots of Pizza, pasta and ended up at a Irish pub as is their tradition whenever they go anywhere on holiday.
On the 3rd day they met an old gentleman running a gelato shop. The man running the shop was so surprised to find a couple that was Brazilian and English that he had to call his 90 year old wife into the shop to introduce us to her.
Luisa took Stu to Brazil in January 2017 so he could experience the Brazilian Summer and meet all of her friends and family.
Stu went to lots of bars and restaurants in Sao Paulo, but his favourite place was Ilhabela, an island in the north coast of SP. He loved Brazilian food, such as coxinha, brigadeiro and pastel.
Stu and Luisa went on their dream trip to Japan in May 2019. The first stop on the trip was Tokyo for their 3rd year anniversary dinner. Luisa was nursing jet-lag and had accidentally ordered a pint of 'Highball' in Akihabara, Tokyo (50% Whiskey, 50% Soda) at which point she suggested we go back to the hotel and sleep it off for the next 12 hours.
Stu played it cool but was adamant they should not cancel the dinner reservation and should go for the experience.
On the tube journey to the Restaurant Stu was so nervous about the proposal that he burst into laughter uncontrollably and couldn't stop. Luisa thought the jet-lag was kicking in, little did she know that in a few hours he'd be popping the question.
Just as dessert had arrived Stu asked Luisa if she would marry him and the rest is history!
