First things first....what about Covid?
Covid restrictions have been lifted in Costa Rica! Just in time! Here is what my coordinator sent me about covid & travel:
"Beginning April 1, 2022, the health pass and travel insurance policy requirements will be eliminated for all individuals. However, a travel insurance policy is recommended to cover medical expenses and lodging in the event of a covid-19 infection. You can opt for any of the following Costa Rican insurance companies, which sell products that are registered and authorized by the Office of the Superintendent General of Insurance of Costa Rica: INS, Sagicor, and BlueCross BlueShield."
The Resort is also able to do Covid testing for anyone who needs before they return to the US. Please let me know if you would like to utilize this service.
Getting to and from San Jose Airport
Costa Rica's main international airport is Juan Santamaria Airport, right outside the capital city of San Juan. We recommend flying into that airport if possible. Transportation shuttles will be scheduled throughout the day on the 21st and 22nd to bring guests to the resort. It's about a 3 hour drive, and though that seems like a daunting ride, it's quite a beautiful journey through the Costa Rican countryside and into the rainforest! Quick stops can be made along the way for drinks, snacks, and some sightseeing.
Ideally, groupings of people arriving at the airport around the same time will be shuttled together. We will be in touch with each of our guests to coordinate pickup times. Of course everyone is free to find their own transportation if they wish, but our goal is to make sure travel to and from the resort will be provided for everyone.
