Sonnenalp is centrally located in Vail Village. The Sonnenalp is a family-owned, European-style chalet.
We have a group rate at the Sonnenalp for a junior suite ($305/night). The group rate is available for stays beginning Thursday, October 7. You can book on this link or by calling 1-800-654-8312 and referencing the Hayes-Gulla block.
Grand Hyatt is just outside Vail Village. It has a complimentary shuttle that takes you to the Village. You can book a room through our hotel block here. The room block expires September 10. If it fills up, let us know. The room block is good for Friday-Sunday. If you plan to come earlier or stay later, please contact the hotel and let them know you are coming in for the wedding.
Other Hotels & Airbnb
There are plenty of other hotels in Vail Village and Lionshead, including the Sebastian (across from Sonnenalp), a Four Seasons (Vail Village), the Lodge at Vail (Vail Village, more reasonable hotel option), a Ritz (Lionshead), a Marriott (Lionshead), and the Arrabelle (Lionshead).
If you haven't been to Vail before, it is about a one-mile walk from the beginning of Vail Village to the end of Lionshead. There is also a free shuttle that runs through Vail Village and Lionshead, so everything is walking distance or a shuttle ride away!
There are also Airbnb & Vrbo options if you'd prefer to rent a house or condo. The Grand Hyatt has a few Vrbo options and is offering 20% off. You can view their Vrbo options here and use code WED30.
You can fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) or Eagle Regional Airport. If you fly into Denver and do not want to rent a car, there are several shuttles that can take you to Vail. Below is a shuttle discount code.
The Westin is a nice hotel right next to the Denver airport. This is a good place to stay if you take an early flight out of Denver.
Epic Mountain Express
Epic Mountain Express (EME) offers several shuttle options to/from DIA and Eagle. They have scheduled rides throughout the day and offer private shuttles, which may make sense if you are arriving at the same time as other wedding guests. Private shuttles are available for up to 10 guests. If you want to join a shuttle, please let us know and we are happy to help coordinate/put groups together.
EME is offering a 20% discount on shuttle rides if you book through the below link or with the code HAGU21. If you can arrange for a group of 10, the cost is $46/person. The link defaults to a private shuttle search, but can be changed after you select continue by clicking "Change service."
