Have Some Fun!
Vail has so many great hiking options! Lauren's favorite hike is Berry Picker, which you can access from the base of Gondola One in Vail Village. This is a longer hike, but definitely worth it!
Piney Lake is always a fun place to check out. It is across I-70 from Vail Village. There is a lake that has rentals for kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards. Piney Lake has easy and moderate hikes. It can be a bit of a difficult drive up to Piney.
Booth Falls is another popular hike in the Vail Valley.
Check out El Segundo for a great patio and some tacos! This would be a great lunch spot.
Yeti's is a local coffee shop with some delicious lattes. A Starbucks is in Lionshead.
Matsuhisa is an upscale sushi restaurant on the ground level of Solaris.
Vintage -- we haven't had the chance to eat here yet, but it looks so cute and delicious that we had to put it on here. They have a brunch menu too, which isn't always easy to find in Vail.
Fun late night spots include the Shakedown (fun if there is live music) and the George for a dive bar.
There are a lot of fun boutiques in Vail Village to browse around. Some favorite are Perch (women's clothing), Kemo Sabe (cowboy boots), Valbruna (mountain wear), and Gorsuch (high end ski apparel & other clothing).
There's also a moving theatre and bowling (Bol) on the ground level of Solaris. Bol also has food and drinks!
Fly Fishing: Vail has some great fly fishing. If you are looking for public spots to fish or a float trip, let us know and we can get you some good recommendations (Minturn Anglers)!
Golfing: Vail Golf Club is a local, public course in East Vail and is just a few minutes away from Vail Village.
