Can I even travel to France?

Yes! France is welcoming visitors from from all over the world for the moment.

The USA is listed as a level green country, which means you do not need to be vaccinated for entry, but you may need to take a covid test.


Do I need a covid test?

Do I need a negative covid test to enter France?

If you have received three doses of the vaccine you do not need a test to travel into France.

If you are unvaccinated, or have not received your third dose,  you need a negative covid test prior to entry. 


Do I need a covid test to leave France?

You no longer need a covid test to enter the USA. If you are going to another country, be sure to check the policy of that country prior to entry.

Do I need a booster shot?
You do not need a booster shot to enter or be a tourist in France.


However, if you do not have a booster shot prior to one week of entry, you will need a negative test in order for entry into France. 

What does it mean to be fully vaccinated in France

Fully vaccinated in France depends upon when you were vaccinated. If you are under 18 years of age, you are free to travel regardless of vaccination status. You are considered fully vaccinated:


1. If you are within 9 months of your second shot of MRNA Vaccine (AstraZenca, Monderna, or Pfizer) and received the second dose 3 weeks prior to your entry into France

2. If you are within 9 months of your single dose of J&J Vaccine and received your dose 28 days prior to your entry into France


3. If it has been over 9 months of MRNA or J&J vaccine you need to receive a booster dose of MRNA vaccine (either Moderna or Pfizer) a week prior to entry.

Your CDC card is recognized as proof of vaccination.


Health Pass information

France has discontinued their health pass requirement. You currently do not need a health pass.



What about the children?

Those under 18 years of age are not required to show proof a vaccine when entering France.

Anyone over the age of two will need to take a covid test prior to entry into the USA
