Wedding Dress Code

Is there a dress code for the wedding weekend?

Bridal Shower Attendees
Semi-formal attire; pink hues.

Welcome Dinner
Casual all-white attire. Khaki bottoms are okay.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Beach formal attire. Beach formal is dress to impress, but also dress for the elements (sun and humidity). No shorts, jeans, sneakers, flip-flops, or white clothing (with the exception of white button-down shirts for men).

Pictures

Are photos allowed during the wedding ceremony?

We welcome and encourage you to take photos during our entire wedding weekend and share them on social media using the hashtag #ReVealTheWaltons. However, our wedding ceremony is unplugged (no phones or cameras) and we ask that you refrain from taking photos during the timeframe of 4:00 - 4:30 on our wedding day. The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present. We have hired professionals to capture these beautiful moments for us. You are welcome to take pictures before and after the ceremony!

Money

Can I use U.S. dollars in Mexico?

Yes, we recommend bringing small bills ($1's and $5's) to tip bartenders, servers, and shuttle drivers if you are expecting stellar service. Tipping is not mandatory at the resort but highly suggested.

Resort

Can I stay at another resort?

We would love to have you at the resort with us and our group. But if you choose to stay elsewhere, you will be required to pay for a "guest pass" in order to enter pre-wedding events at The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences. You will also be responsible for your own transportation to our wedding day venue, Villa La Joya.

WEATHER

What will the weather be like in Mexico this time of year?

Temperatures are lower and the humidity decreases during November, but it’s still warm enough for beach time. The average temperature is around 77º and most of the days it won’t go below 80º. It's also not unusual for a rain shower that typically doesn't last long.
