Griffin Arriola
Dog of Honor
We got Griffin in January 2010. Steve came with me to pick him up from a breeder and we immediately fell in love with him.
Mikaela Arriola
Junior Flower Girl
Introducing Mikaela, the youngest of my nieces. She has been dreaming about this day for a very long time. I still remember the time when she walked up to a store window with colorful gowns displayed and she turns to me. 'when you get married, I want to be a flower girl. I want to wear one of those dresses.' Although she's not so little anymore, she can still be my flower girl. She can wear one of those colorful poofy dresses all day long. It is as much as her day as it is mine.
Allysia Arriola
Junior Bridesmaid
Introducing Allysia, my niece. She has been dreaming about this day for a very long time. Although she has outgrown the flower girl position, she has matured to be a beautiful Junior Bridesmaid. I am excited for her to be a part of our wedding.
Ana Rivera
Bridesmaid
Introducing Ana. From the day we met, we just clicked. She said 'I love your shoes' and I was sold, I turned around and told Julio, 'she's a keeper'. We've been friends ever since.
Doreen Shanklin
Bridesmaid

Introducing Doreen, my college housemate. We have been friends since freshmen year. So many years and so many incontrollable laughs. Our travels has taken us through to so many places. She's who I can be spontaneous with; the one I call up and say 'want to go on a road trip this weekend to San Francisco?' or 'do you want to do spring break in Cancun?' she was always up for anything. She's the one I can be a hot mess with, watching a sad romantic movie. A real shoulder to cry on. She understands. She gets me. I can't walk down the aisle without her. Who knows, I might need an interpreter.

Lauren Nget
Bridesmaid
Introducing Lauren, is my college housemate. We've been friends since my freshmen year. When we were not studying, we were throwing epic parties with  smoke machines and strobe lights. She has always been there for me, being supportive. Like when my parents would come up at 8 in the morning for a surprise visit and we had just thrown a party the night before. She was the one helping clean up the apartment before they arrived. I appreciate her always being there for me. I can't walk down the aisle without her. Who knows, I may need a quick consultation from my very own personal psychologist.
Suzan El-Khatib
Bridesmaid
Introducing Suzan, my childhood friend. As kids we spent all of our summer breaks together. Playing video games or swimming in her ice cold pool. When I moved away, we made every effort to still see each other and keep in touch. After my high school graduation, we had an awesome idea to spend the summer backpacking through Europe. At first, we were supposed to be accompanied by her mom. Plans changed, we were off to Europe for almost 3 months all on our own. We've traveled through Europe like a true backpacker, hardly any money and on a single Eurorail pass that we reused by erasing the dates using an erasable pen. A tip we picked up, from other fellow backpackers. Oh those were the days! Now she my voice of legal advice. I can't walk down the aisle without her. Who knows, I may need legal advice.
Z
Bridesmaid
Introducing Zeyana, my childhood friend. As kids we've spent countless hours shooting hoops in my drive way and rollerblading all over Richmond. Even apart we have remained best of friends. I see us when we are old and grey, still saying 'remember when...' like no time has passed. As kids, she was always my voice of reason. She always says 'are you sure you should be doing that?' Now she still my voice of reason 25 years later... this time backed with real medical advice. Like the time, I thought I was bit by a poisons spider in Costa Rica. I was freaking out. Calmly she instructed me draw a line around the bite. She said, if gets larger than the lines tomorrow, its time to see a doctor. Wells... the bite was shrinking... no cause for alarm. Needless to say, I can't walk down the aisle without her. Just in case I have panic attack.
Kyle Arriola
Junior Groomsmen

Kyle is Kristine's nephew. We have become great friends over pwning noobs in Starcraft II. I find Kyle's random love of noodles, Pokemon, singing, and spontaneous reactions very hilarious. Kyle is not only caring, reliable, and funny, but he is also that person who will drop everything instantly for you. I cherish our friendship and his strong heart.

Luke Uchong
Ring Bearer
Luke is our friends' Julio and Anna Uchong's first born. I love Luke's attitude, cleanliness, and accent. He is always good mannered, and never causing trouble. Well not too much trouble. I'm looking forward to seeing him grow into wonderful human being.
Jason Mosman
Groomsmen

Jason is my oldest friend. We go way back to the old neighborhood. I have known Jason my whole life. We grew up as kids playing guns, hide-and-seek, and all sorts of sports with all the other neighbordhood kids. I love that Jason is super competitive, and never makes it easy to beat him at anything. Til this day I'm still trying beat his bowling average.

Jon Melius
Groomsmen

Jon is my older brother and all-around amazing human. As kids I always tagged along wherever Jon went, and looked up to him as a role model. There are so many amazing memories with Jon, but I think my favorite was when we moved in together for a short time and we would debate everything, politics, NFL, life, or anything. Jon is one of the most loyal people I know, and can always be counted on to be there for you. I couldn’t be happier to have him standing by my side.

Nate Nuez
Groomsmen

I moved directly across the street from Nate's house in the 5th grade. From the moment we met, he and his family welcomed me into there household with open arms and made me feel right at home! We would play video games and watch anime for hours. Nate has always been the biggest game enthusiast, and is the glue to bringing everyone together whether its for a LAN session, a PAX weekend, or even just going to the movies.

Nick Jose
Groomsmen

Nick is my best man. I remember when we first met I was playing in giant mud pit, and he had just moved here from Guam. He probably thought 'these mainland kids are weird'. Nevertheless we became best friends and spent all of our time playing Sega Saturn, street sports, and making the most of our middle school days (can you actually do that?). Nick is just such fun to be around, hilarious, and always has your back. When Nick moved to San Diego, I had no idea how we stayed in touch over the years, but I absolutely love that we always make trips out to visit each other.

Julio Uchong
Groomsmen

From Highline Community College all the way through Western Washington University until now Julio has been one of my best buds. Julio's work hard, play hard mindset has been a positive influence on me throughout our friendship. Even now it always full steam ahead in every aspect of life. I'm proud to have Julio stand by my side.

Elenita Vasallo
Mother of the Bride
Sometimes I think she forgets that I AM HER DAUGHTER. She's always defending Steve. Always making excuses for Steve. At home it's always 2 against 1. She doesn't outright say it; but she likes Steve more. My mom and I are super close. We have a very special bond. So when I found out that she's been keeping the proposal a secret from me, I couldn't believe it. MY MOM KEEP A SECRET?! FROM ME?! As it turns out, right before she drove Steve and I to the airport, Steve had called her into the our pantry to ask for her permission. She said she barely could keep the secret contained. Saying that she is EXCITED, is an understatement.
Mila Melius
Mother of the Groom
Mila raised Steve and his two siblings while working full-time at Boeing. She is married to Steve's father, Arthur, and have lived in the Northeast Tacoma area for the past 30 years. She is the most generous person in the world, and would literally give you the shirt off her back if you need it. She enjoys spending time with family, and the occasional game of blackjack.
Art Melius
Father of the Groom
Art raised Steve to enjoy baseball, bowling, and encouraged learning above all. He's a retired Naval Officer, worked at Boeing for more than 30 years, and has even got a hand working on N.A.S.A.'s International Space Station. He's married Steve's mother, Mila, and is someone who would do anything for his family.  He currently loves taking long walks, keeping up with the Mariners, the occasional game of Scrabble.
Eva White
Ninang

When we think of the qualities of a Ninang, three aspects comes to mind. Someone who we admire, someone we lookup to and someone whose been there for us for support. Tita Eva checks all of those boxes for us. She's our number one cheerleader. The one who's always screaming the loudest. She's always been there for us. Asking her to be our fairy godmother was a decision that came easily. We are excited to have her be a part of our wedding and a part of our family.

Lulu St. John
