Robin Rozanski
Matron of Honor

Robin is my sister! So...we go way back. How do you put someone you've known your whole life into a nutshell? She's my older sister and she is still a protector and big hearted care taker to me even when she's the one that deserves to be taken care of.   She also shares my fascination with the macabre and Victorian whatnot, so we have that going on.

Once when we were little, she pretended she was getting sucked down the bathtub drain and I fully freaked out. Cuz that's no way to go.

Lauren McGuire
Maid of Honor
Lauren soothes me like a sunset on a serene river. Is that a strange way to describe someone? Sure it is, but that’s the unique and lovely experience of being Lauren’s friend. Lauren has a way of maintaining perspective that is life saving. I may be inclined to say she’s the best person I’ve ever met. Integrity is important to her and she exudes it in her life and intention daily, constantly pushing herself to grow. She’s inspirational.

I discovered after Lauren and I became friends that someone we both knew through UCB had tried to set us up as friends and collaborators years earlier. If only I had listened our beautiful friendship journey could have started sooner!
Angie Martin

Angie and I lived together in NYC, and there can hardly be better memories than that chapter of my life.  We became fast and inseparable friends.  I can always rely on Angie to take me to some hidden gem or fun activity happening in whatever city we find ourselves.  When you see that little glint of mischief in her eye, you know she's about to maximize your outing (or convince you to break a rule). Despite all that fun about town, ordering Thai food and playing the card game Nibs with Angie will always be my happy place.

Once when we were walking around our old neighborhood of Woodside, Queens, I got hit in the butt with a rogue baseball that had gotten away from some youths. Angie laughed and laughed and laughed til I was laughing with her and I'm pretty sure she's still laughing to this day cuz she loves a little innocent schadenfreude.

Betsy Sodaro
Betsy makes you feel like you're the most important person even in a room of 100 people. I love hanging out with her anywhere at anytime because she makes it so fun and easy. I will always say yes to Betsy and be wherever whenever with bells on. Watching spooky movies (or just plain dumb ones) over FaceTime with her has been a quarantine life saver. She's generous, inclusive, all around the best, and would like to hang out with your bulldog if you happen to have one.
One time Betsy and I fully got lost in a Disneyland hotel and it was the most fun being lost I've ever had. Pictured above going into the completely incorrect hotel.
Eve Tugwell
I’ve been friends with this gorgeous Amazon goddess and former kissing bandit since we were freshman theatre kids. How I long to be cruising around London (and Paris) again with the fiercely independent, life savvy babe. Though the miles have parted us for...wow, I guess all the years since college, Eve has always been there with a call, kind card, or thoughtful gift to remind me that our friendship and connection never falter and is always close to the heart.
While she was living in London, Eve called me in the middle of the night (after recent bombings nearby, mind you) leaving a frantic and chaotic message that worried me so. Turns out she’d had a Jude Law sighting
Taylor Hays
I don’t know how else to say it: Taylor is one of my favorite people in the world. I got a crash course in Taylor, meeting him in college as my new roommate. This experience included waking up in the night to him laying on the floor blasting Flying Robert. You’ll never have a better time than hanging out with this hilarious, talented, too damn smart (& smart ass) fella. Though we decided one day that if we were cohabitating in a small house in a remote part of Bemidji that life would be hard, life is greatly enriched when Taylor is part of it.
Most recently, Taylor didn’t remember I’d asked him to be in my wedding party. Apparently he was more drunk than I’d realized.
Meghan Gambling
This Carolina fire cracker was one of the first people I met when I moved to Los Angeles some 12 years ago, and thank goodness. I’ve not only loved being in her funny, heart warming plays (brag), but I’ve been so glad to call this fun, intelligent boss b my friend. PS she wrote a NOVEL
Meghan is only a new addition to this line up because we made a deal 2 years ago, when our weddings were originally scheduled to be a month apart, that though we were near and dear to each other, we’d ease our wedding responsibilities by leaving each other out of the bridesmaid line up. After the completion of her fab wedding in December, I broke our deal and things are as they should be.
Milton Rozanski
natural born child 2010-2022
Milton is a princely cat who loves to wake me up at 5am every morning by threatening to knock over my grandmother’s tea set. He is currently on a weight loss regimen.
He will be missed and forever loved
Mackenzie Figueira
Best Man

When Mackenzie was first introduced into Matthew's life, Matthew was uncertain to say the least. Matt decided it best to damage his adorable and innocent little brother.  So, he bit him on his stomach in hopes that his parents would find Mackenzie irreparable, in turn dropping him off at the dump. Matt was not without good intentions. He often saw people retrieving damaged items from the dump, bringing it with them to a new home. "One man's trash...", and all that. The plan did not work. They decided to keep Mackenzie. The benefits of having Mackenzie for a brother may have been lost on four year-old Matt, but they are certainly cherished today. They've been told by nearly everyone how identical they look and sound, and have been mistaken for one another on many an occasion. Admittedly, Mackenzie has always been the braver of the two, and simply by being by his side, Matt has grown stronger. Matt could not be happier to have failed on that fateful day. Without Mackenzie, he'd surely be a lesser man.

John Dittrick
OFFICIANT

They've been to Russia, Utah, and every ice cream creamery in between. LMU theatre brats, they were. When John announced that he was moving across the country Matt insisted on helping him get there. Eager to soak up every additional minute with his dear friend, and desperate to stave off the moment when they would no longer spend every day in the same city, Matt drove with John to the middle of the country, blasting Riahana the entire way.  Having lived together all over the world, spending sleepless nights dancing in the streets and lazy mornings curled on the couch watching Gossip Girl, John is truly Matt's soul sibling, unquestioning and always in step with each other.

Kreig Kihara

If you've ever called Matt and attempted to leave a voice mail but his inbox was full, you can certainly blame Kreig. In the future, a historian will collect their corespondents and compile them into an earth shattering document depicting the 21st century through two minute diatribes shared between best friends. Why has Matt kept every message Kreig has ever left him? Probably because they are funny, no one can make Matt laugh harder, and certainly because they capture Kreig's lust for life, but most importantly they remind Matt that Kreig cares. Cares, to check in, cares to involve Matt in his life, and cares to do a tasteful Whoopie Goldberg impression from time to time. Kreig is a Renaissance Man, able to do anything he puts his mind to and that includes fooling a well established soccer team (Strikers all the way) into letting Matt join their ranks and after only a week of practice convince them Matt should come with them to their tournament in Seattle. Matt has friends because of Kreig. They have shared summer jobs (F*@# GARY), hazy hale nights, and many a roadside pee.

Corey Yamamoto
Growing up Corey and Matt spent nearly every Saturday night together.  Huddle over their enormous collection of Marvel action figures, meticulously dividing the pile in two, then parting ways for a moment to each create an elaborate back story for their super teams, only to rejoin in the center of the room to wreak havoc on one another. They also made many a radio show, drew countless characters for their ever developing video game, and got their hair cut in the garage with his mother's industrial orange scissors. Matt wept as Corey graduated from High School, fearful things would no longer be the same but Corey is family in every sense of the word, he continues to be Matt's cousin, brother, and best friend.
Nathan Pagel

Nate rolled into Matt's life on the first day of 6th grade. As Matt cried during their graduation, Nate rolled his eyes, calm and ready to take on middle school. Transitioning from a tiny private institution with less than 80 students to a public intermediate school of 900 preteens nearly broke Matt, and would have, had Nate not been around. Nathan was instrumental in Matt's slow and painful development from a guy who was too afraid to go to sleep overs, ride roller coasters, or swim too far out into the ocean, to the hedonist he is today. From long nights of loosing his parent's money playing Texas Hold 'em, to riding the pine idly as Nate thrived on the basketball court, Matt always feels better when Nate's around.

Kellen Mira

Matt didn't have his drivers license until he was a sophomore in college, and on Maui that means you're at the mercy of others if you want any semblance of a social life. Matt was in danger of becoming a burden to his peers. Kellen made sure that didn't happen. Not once did Kellen ever bemoan that Matt had become a permanent fixture in his passenger seat. Matt went everywhere Kellen did. He even followed him to college. They've shared an apartment, many a Thanksgiving, and an unknowable amount of Swisher Sweets and McDonalds iced coffee. EAGLE!

Thomas Ochoa

Thomas, Matt's adopted brother and godfather to his children, Linus and Milton, exemplifies the qualities of the great confidants of history. From their early days running an improv comedy show with their best bud Manny, in what can only be described as the most charming of fire hazards, to their often tumultuous lives as actors in the big city, Thomas has always encouraged and enabled Matt to keep going. The amount of time Thomas has spent keeping Matt sane is unparalleled.  They've had many a late night discussing the glamours of pop culture and the topography of the northern hemisphere over a dirty dominos pizza . Matt gives Thomas forever final approval, whether on his looks, likes, or this website. Thomas approves.

Hal Mooney

Hal Mooney is synonymous with Matt's life in Los Feliz. Yes, they met in college performing short form improv in matching uniforms to a milding crowd of their peers, but it was upon leaving the manicured grounds of LMU that Hal and Matt really fell instep with one another.  They're now neighbors, Matt having quite strategically placed himself within walking distance of Hal's front door.  They are thrilled just to hangout, pressing each other on their opinions of the world over a nice glass of something. Together they are the purest of Epicureans. When faced with a true quandary, Matt knows Hal's door is always open, and trusts when he leaves it will be with a smile.

Kyle Parulski
Kyle and Matt began their friendship performing improv together in a number of disenchanting non-equity theatre spaces around Los Angeles. Over time their relationship evolved into a sort of Before Sunrise scenario: long walks around the City of Angels in search of good sandwiches, a hot deal, and beguiling conversation.  GO PACK GO!
Manny Hagopian
Immediately after meeting, Manny commandeered Matt's living room couch quickly claiming it as his second home. The company was more than welcome.  As Manny hunted Big Foot and critiqued America's abilities to appropriately karaoke, Matt would pour the two of them room temperature shots of saki out of a gallon and a half cardboard box that was inconspicuously sitting atop his side table. Manny has forced Matt to be in a Musical, run an improv show, write and direct sketches, and generally go beyond his means. For that, Matt is forever grateful and saves a spot on his couch for whenever Manny wants it.
Sara Papaian

Sara and Matt date back to the ye old LMU days. Instantaneously a kinship began between the two of them in the bowels of the Theater departments basement.  Like long lost siblings, no one quite understood the magic these two shared...then Kristen joined the team. Sara welcomed her with open arms and Kristen eagerly accepted her warm and exuberant embrace. Because she is accepting, insanely generous and big-hearted, Sara immediately included Kristen in all the things and the trio began having a ball around town.  They love taking on all the escape rooms, basking in the joy of a day at Disneyland, and soaking up the sounds of the Hollywood Bowl (and maybe a few glasses of wine along the way).

While Sara is usually spending her time, energy and intelligence using her super powers to change the world, she has agreed to dig into her old bag of stage manager tricks to hop on the mic and direct the flow of the big day. We would tell you to make sure to listen to her, but we don't have to as she will not be giving you a choice in the matter.
