Flights

Airport: Please note that you will want to fly into Honolulu, HI (HNL) - the islands of Hawaii can sometimes be confusing! We are going to be on the island of Oahu and all of the hotel recommendations are in the Honolulu/Waikiki Beach area.

Booking Flights: Since April is peak tourist season in Hawaii, we recommend booking your flights about 5-6 months in advance. You can set price alerts on any booking website (such as Kayak, Expedia, etc.) to makes sure you get the best deal! 

Dates: Kira, James, & their families will be arriving on Tuesday, April 6 and staying through Tuesday, April 13. 

Recommended Airlines: American Airlines, Virgin Australia, Delta, Alaska Airlines, and United. 

International Guests

Passports & Visas

Passports - Passports can take a while to get so make sure you get yours at least a couple months in advance!

Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) - All eligible international travelers who wish to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for authorization.

*APPLY FOR THIS AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE DEPARTURE*

Real-time approvals will no longer be available and arriving at the airport without a previously approved ESTA will likely result in being denied boarding.

Who You Are:

- You are a citizen or eligible national of a Visa Waiver Program country (includes Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom).

- You are currently not in possession of a visitor's visa.- Your travel is for 90 days or less.- You plan to travel to the United States for business or pleasure.

- You want to apply for a new authorization for one person or a group of applications for two or more persons.

What You Need:

- Valid passport from a Visa Waiver Program country

- Valid credit card (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover (JCB, Diners Club)) or PayPal to pay the US $14 USD per application.

- Your contact information.

- Your most recent employment information, if applicable.

The ESTA application must be completed at least 72 hours before your departure date; there is a processing fee and generally a 2 day processing delay for results. If your travel is not approved by ESTA you may be asked to apply for a Visa from the US Embassy to gain entry.
