1. How We Met

It’s really quite simple, through an online dating site back in 2015. Yes you read it right. Who knew those things really work? Well at least for us it did !

2. First Date

While looking for a place to live in San Jose,Ca Kim had free time and John took the opportunity to actually meet up , as the past year had been communication only through the dating app, social media, text, phone calls and a few FaceTime chats. The closest, most convenient restaurant still open for a late evening was Denny’s, and that’s where the two realized there was chemistry not only online but in person as well!

3. Making it official

After dating for about a year we decided to become an official couple with intention of building a deep relationship that would lead to marriage in November 2017.

4. Getting Approval

By the end of 2018 after taking pre-marital classes and taking time to establish a solid relationship and foundation rooted in God we decided to go into the new year with the mindset of becoming engaged. No real details we’re discussed , but John had a plan...

John spent Christmas in Fresno with Kimberly’s family. During that holiday season Kimberly attended a Christmas party with her cousins which allowed John the chance to be alone with her parents to ask for their blessing for her hand in marriage.

(Kim had no clue of this conversation)

5. Let’s Thai the Knot!

Kim loves to travel when she can and had the desire to go to Thailand. As a late birthday trip she and John purchased a 10 day getaway!

Little did Kim know that she was in-store for much more than a birthday getaway trip.

The love John had for her was real. With much thought and prayer John decided this would be the perfect opportunity to pop the question.

( C’mon this was a once in a lifetime moment that John couldn’t pass up!)

While on a rooftop restaurant overlooking Bangkok, at the right moment; John got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said Yes!
