Our story starts in August of 2019. Kevin had just moved to Boston from Florida to start residency, and soon after met Dan...and the rest was history! Our first few months of dating were spent exploring the Boston area, including cheering on the Sox!
We quickly began to explore all that New England had to offer, though found ourselves always returning to the wonderful state of Maine. You can't beat a cozy summer night by the fire, gazing at the stars with a s'more in hand. Some of our friends accompanying us this night would agree <3
We both love the outdoors and national parks. What better way to take in the changing of the season than with a gorgeous hike to see the leaves change? Taken in Acadia National Park in Maine, this spot soon became one of our favorites. Not to mention it was our first trip together <3
Snow or shine, we still find our way outdoors. Whether riding snow mobiles in New England, or spending time at our home away from home in Colorado, Dan wasted no time acclimating Kevin - a Florida native - to the snow. Photo taken in Rocky Mountain National Park
It is only fair that for all of the frigid hikes spent trudging through snow, that Kevin finds a way to repay the favor. What better way to do so then taking Dan on a kayak journey through the mangroves in the lovely Florida heat and humidity? We quickly discovered that New Englander's were not built for these conditions.
Exploring the world together quickly became one of our favorite things to do. Dan's scheduling expertise and Kevin's laid back approach became the perfect travel balance....most of the time!
From exploring new cities, trying new foods, hiking new sites, or relaxing in the sun...we have found ways to enjoy it all! The beach has become just as special to us as the mountains. So from the months of May to August, you can find us "parked" on the beach, taking advantage of the far too short New England summer.
No matter how many different sights we take in, we somehow always find ourselves back in a national park. We are making it a mission of ours to visit as many as possible, taking in all the beauty they have to offer. We try to make an annual trip to Yellowstone, which is where this photo was taken on our 2023 trip where we had the chance to bring our parents <3
On an already special day, Kevin's birthday (November 28th), Dan proposed to Kevin in his home in Boston. It was the most special night with all of Kevin's roommates working together to make sure everything was "just right". In Dan fashion, he proposed to Kevin with a ring made out of "bread", and in Kevin fashion, he managed to break it in the first 5 minutes. Don't worry, Dan knows Kevin well and made an extra <3
Our story is far from complete, and in many ways it is just getting started. We are so beyond excited to see you all in October, to share our favorite season in one of our favorite places, with the people who are most dear to us <3
