It was the summer of 2020, a year no one will forget. Especially not for us, but not because of the global uncertainties around us but because we were lucky enough to find each other during the chaos. Our meeting was thanks to the dating app bumble, and from there amazing first dates took place where we bonded so quickly & beautifully.
During lockdown time, Bruno got creative with our first few dates, making it all the more memorable. Starting off with our first kiss during the sunset in the Las Cruces foothills, to running around like kids at white sands, to studying together on the NMSU campus, our impressions lasted on one another and created the foundation of our relationship today.
We love to dance (something you will witness for yourself if you meet us on the dance floor in Rio Das Pedras) which is where Bruno's got his inspiration from to propose. We also quickly fell in love with skiing after moving to Colorado. After a great day of skiing at Eldora we got a cozy little cabin in Netherlands for the weekend. After getting ready to go out to dinner, Bruno asked me to dance. While taking my hand and spinning me around gracefully as he always does, he looked me the eyes with a more serious face than I was used to and I felt his heart start to pound like crazy. He told me how much he loved me, dropped down to one knee and asked me to marry him. You all know the answer to this question, or you would not be on this website. Looking back, I don't know how I didn't see that giant bulge in his back pocket, but he got away with it and I am glad he did. We had such a special weekend celebrating our love and looking forward to the future.
We are living in Colorado, near Denver, working on our careers & making memories in the mountains. We recently got a Corgi, his name is Yoda, and we don't know how we lived before him. He has taught us how to work together and makes us laugh every day. If you ever want to experience Colorado & meet Yoda, you have a place to stay!
