The Mexican currency is the peso. Generally, the sign $ refers to peso prices and any prices quoted in US dollars should be written US$. While it’s easy to withdraw pesos from ATMS using major Visa and Mastercards, it’s best to travel with a small reserve of cash you can exchange at banks or exchange offices if there aren’t ATMS available. Most airlines, stores, restaurants, and hotels accept credit and debit cards.
What you pack depends heavily on the type of trip you’re making. Remember, you’re travelling to a Caribbean climate, which is generally warm but can have some colder days. Take key clothing items that are easy to layer, a pair of beach sandals, and comfortable trainers suitable for walking and exploring the jungle. Other important items include: Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, insect repellents, a windbreaker and basic medical aid kit.
***Don't forget to pack your favorite white outfit for the welcome party!!!***
Our ceremony will be on the beach! Our ceremony and reception dress code is beach semi-casual
Riviera Maya was once a significant religious and economic hub for the ancient Maya, the Mesoamerican civilization native to the pre-Columbian Americas, whose legacy of breathtaking architecture and symbolic artwork can still be seen along the Yucatan Peninsula. Unrivalled 1-day excursions in Riviera Maya include awe-inspiring archaeological sites such as Chichen Itza, Ek Balan, Cobá and the ruins of Tulum, while the island of Cozumel and Yucatán’s third largest city, Valladolid, present cultural experiences combining Maya heritage with the history of Spanish settlement.
If you need medical treatment in Mexico and you don’t have travel insurance, you will be responsible for paying for your medical treatment upfront. Even if your current health insurance company offers coverage to Mexico, you might still have to pay before treatment and wait to be reimbursed. Besides health concerns, travel insurance is always a good idea to cover theft or loss of goods.
The resorts are extremely accommodating when it comes to allergies and food sensitivities. We will advise the food and beverage department before arrival. Please let Courtney know at the time of booking.
