Hanne is the little sister of the bride (although she has always had the maturity of a big sister). She's currently living in Colorado and is working towards a PhD in cancer immunology.
We asked Lauren to officiate our wedding because her heart is full of love, patience, kindness, and joy- all the things that we hope our marriage can embody.
More importantly, Katie set up Lauren with her co-resident, Rob, who is now Lauren's husband.
Katie and Kelly met when Katie moved to Colorado in 8th grade. Kelly came up to her on the playground and said "who are you?" They became friends through high school, went to Michigan together for college, and have been best friends ever since.
Kelly lives in DC with her husband and took some of the amazing engagement photos in the gallery.
On Katie's first day as an 8th grader when she moved to Colorado, Celine sat with her at lunch. They've been inseparable ever since.
Celine now works at Children's Hospital Colorado as an RN where she sneaks Katie candy on the reg.
Katie and Kelsey became fast friends through Tridelta at the University of Michigan. In their second year of college, they became roommates (in the unicorns nest) and that stuck for the rest of their undergraduate careers.
Kelsey went to NP school in Colorado (and worked with Katie!) and now is an NP in Michigan.
Wes and Arthur have been best friends since the 5th grade, when they became neighbors and bonded over sports, video games, and staying up too late. Wes now lives in New York City, but we hope to get him back to Colorado in the near future.
