The wedding will be taking place on Saturday 22nd of June. However, as many of you will have traveled from near and far to join us we have planned a few little other events to ensure that we can spend quality time with our family and friends. Kate et Pierre-François sont ravis de vous inviter à leur mariage qui aura lieu le Samedi 22 Juin 2019.Cependant, comme la plupart d'entre vous auront voyagé de près et de loin pour nous rejoindre pour cette heureuse occasion, nous avons préparé un programme pour le weekend pour que nous puissions profiter de vous. Clermont-Ferrand is in the centre of France in Auvergne and is the home to Michelin tyres. Clermont and the surrounding area have some wonderful things to do, an experience for those of you who have the time. We would be delighted to provide any assistance in helping plan your trips.
Some of the things to do in Clermont include: the ASM Clermont Rugby experience, Michelin tyres museum (highly recommended), the botanical gardens, Clermont cathedral (which is black from the volcanic stone the area is famed for) and shopping around the Centre Jaude.Set out on the travel page are some suggestions on accommodation, including the venues providing discounts, and things to do in the area.

On Friday 21 June, Kate and Pierre would like to welcome our guests to Clermont for a drink and some light canapés.
We have booked an area at Pavillon Lamartine. We will be there at 19.00
Le vendredi 21 juin, Kate et Pierre-François aimeraient vous accueillir à un cocktail dînatoire de bienvenue.Nous avons réservé Le Pavillon Lamartine à Clermont-Ferrand. L’heure du cocktail est fixée à 19h pour ceux qui souhaiteront nous rejoindre.
The big day.
Our marriage is taking place at the Mayors office in Chamalieres at 11.30. Chamalieres is a small district of Clermont where Pierre’s parents live. It is 10 minutes by car from the centre or a 30 minute walk.
In the evening we would like to invite everyone for drinks and canapes at the Princesse Flore hotel roof terrace. A short 6 minute ‘downhill’ walk from lunch.
Following the ceremony we would like to invite everyone to join us for lunch at one Michelin star Radio Hotel in Chamalieres. A short 10 minute ‘uphill’ walk away.

La cérémonie de mariage se déroulera à la Mairie de Chamalières à 11h30.
Après la cérémonie, nous vous invitons à déjeuner au Restaurant Le Radio, situé à Chamalières.
Enfin, le soir, un cocktail dînatoire aura lieu à la terrasse panoramique de l’Hôtel Princesse Flore à Royat. Le cocktail commencera à partir de 19h.

For those of you who are able to spend slightly more time in the area we are planning on spending the morning recovering in the thermal baths at Royatonic (see travel details) and then taking a walk at the top of the Puy de Dôme followed by an early dinner at an Auberge.
Please use the RSVP and let us know if you are interesting in coming to Puy de Dome or joining for an early dinner so that we can get a sense of numbers and make required plans.
Le lendemain pour ceux d'entre vous qui seront en mesure de passer un peu plus de temps dans la région et avec nous, nous prévoyons de passer la fin de matinée à nous délasser dans les bains de Royatonic, situé à côté de l’Hôtel Princesse Flore. Nous nous rendrons ensuite au sommet du Puy-De-Dôme pour une promenade pour admirer ces beaux volcans d’Auvergne. Nous nous arrêterons dîner dans un restaurant au pied du Puy-De-Dôme, à Orcines (Nom du restaurant à confirmer).
