The date was Wednesday, August 28, 2019. After several days of texting back and forth after matching on Hinge, Kasey and Brian decided to finally meet in person. They met for dinner in downtown Indianapolis at a taco joint and ended up talking for nearly 3 hours setting the stage for a rare 2nd date in the online dating world.
Over the next months, Kasey and Brian continued to spend more and more time together. They ate their way through Indy’s wonderful food scene, explored the city on their bikes and on foot, attended numerous concerts and sporting events, and Kasey even convinced Brian to join her and her friend's Orange Theory cult,
Fenway, Brian’s Great Dane, quickly fell in love with Kasey and started snuggling up more with her compared to Brian. With Fenways approval they introduced themselves as a couple to their friends and family. Their relationship continued to grow, and when it got "closer" to the expiration of their apartment leases, they decided to look for a home together.
In March of 2020, they got the keys to their new rental: a duplex in downtown Indianapolis. Unbeknownst to them, the world was about to drastically change when Covid-19 became a global pandemic and closed everything down in March 2020. Kasey started working exclusively from home while Brian still went into the clinic and hospital. Their very busy social life came to a screeching halt. They passed the time playing Sequence and Screech, firing up the Playstation with Call of Duty Zombies and Madden Football, riding their bikes and walking Fenway, getting competitive with Pickleball, and trying to stay in shape with Peloton rides and workouts. Kasey may have also directed and produced a few TikTok hits starring Brian (after a few IPAs of course). Even though the world was struggling to get back to some sense of normalcy, their love continued to grow as they spent more time together.
Since 2021, Kasey and Brian were able to return to their more social selves and get back to the things they enjoyed, including concerts, traveling, dining out, and spending time with friends and family. They also started to look for a new home during this time and found a beautiful duplex that was perfect for
them (and Fenway of course). Their offer was accepted, and they moved into their new home in November 2021. Brian knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Kasey, so it was around this time that the ring shopping began.
Brian’s original plan was to propose in Brown County while on a picturesque hike, but the rain halted this idea. The big proposal ended up happening at a local park while the rain took a pause. Fenway was happy because he was able to be a part of it as well. Their families and friends surprised Kasey at home
later that day and celebrated her big “YES” into the night.
That brings the story of Kasey and Brian up to this point. They have been planning their wedding for months and are extremely excited to celebrate their union with all their family and friends that have been a part of their lives.
