From the airport you can take the Malpensa Express to Saronno and from there take a train to Lake Como. The journey takes 1 hour and 30 minutes or 2 hours depending on the time interval for the change. The price is around 18 Euros.

Experience the lake like a local. Residents preferred means of transport, the battello is by far the easiest way to get to nearby Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio or venture further afield for an overdose of the lake. Serving all the romantic villages clinging to the lakeshore, the battello offers frequent departure times and an authentic experience of time at the lake. The nearest pier is just a minute walk from the Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace.

It is advise that you can buy daily tickets, which will allow you to sail on boats and ferries and visit several villages with a single ticket, such as the “Central Lake Shuttle Ticket”, which includes stops at: Menaggio, Varenna, Bellagio, Bellano, Cadenabbia , Tremezzo and Lenno.
