Austin and Kailey met when they were 12 years old when they attended Mars Middle School together. Their love story began then as “middle school lovers” as they like to call it! As much as two middle school kids could love each other, they loved each other that much and more.
Even when Kailey moved away to Virginia, the two tried to maintain their relationship together. They went to junior year homecoming together in 2011. After they graduated high school in 2013, Kailey and Austin went their separate ways as Kailey attended college and Austin went off to play junior hockey. Even as their life went separate ways, the love always remained.
After homecoming 2011, the two went their separate ways for 9 years! In 2020, Austin graduated from Ohio University and Kailey graduated from Emory University. After graduation, Kailey took a trip to Pittsburgh to spend time with family. The couple met again in Pittsburgh and their love story picked up right where they left off years ago. Kailey was suppose to be visiting with family in Pittsburgh, instead Austin and Kailey spent everyday together during her trip.
After meeting again in Pittsburgh, Kailey had to go back to Georgia. Austin couldn’t wait to see where things could go, so he decided to buy a flight ticket to see Kailey the next week. Their love grew even more and the two decided to try long distance as Austin was moving to Indiana to start his career and Kailey was to begin her career in Georgia.
After traveling back and forth to see each other for just one month, the two realized how badly they wanted to be in the same place after all these years. Kailey started applying to jobs in Indiana, got a job a week later, quit her current job, and moved up to Indiana a month later to live with Austin. The two had only been dating for 2 months at this point, but knew they couldn’t wait to be together.

A year and a half into dating, Austin got down on one knee and she said yes!
Austin and Kailey have decided to plant roots in Indiana and have built a home!
