Kadeja worked at shoppers drug mart as a customer service supervisor, where marlon would occasionally “pop in” to shop with his daughter, Mila. One June afternoon in 2017, marlon got the opportunity to introduce his self to Kadeja, when he saw her parked in his home complex. Marlon finally got the courage to have a random conversation that day, then they went their separate ways. From that day marlon kept noticing the same car parking in the underground garage. He decided to take his shot and left a detailed work card on her windshield with the words “please give me a call when you can” . The next morning Kadeja saw the card, but didn’t call the same time. What a coincidence, that evening while kadeja was outside where she lived she saw this black car , to her surprise it was marlon and he asked her, how she was doing etc” . Same evening Kadeja took the card, searched him up on Facebook and then gave him a call, where they then became friends . Their first of many dates was on a Saturday evening where marlon took Kadeja to the Scarborough Bluffs where they watched the waves and the beautiful sunset and the rest was history. In 2018, marlon and kadeja decided to take a big step and moved in together, followed by the welcoming of their first baby together in September 2019.
Fast forward to 2021, four years together, marlon finally decided to make the big step in asking kadeja for her hand in marriage. The night started with celebrating her birthday with family and close friends at one of her favourite restaurants, Cactus in Toronto which was discovered by the couple in Edmonton, Alberta. Marlon made a beautiful toast, followed by a bouquet of Roses with the note “K will you marry me” and beginning to kneel on one knee he popped the question. Of course, hence why we are celebrating our wedding with family and friends in a beautiful ceremony at Borghinvilla, Jamaica because Kadeja said Yessss!!!! We hope that everyone will be able to join us in our beautiful celebration as we say “I do” this fall.
