As fond as absence makes the heart grow, Justin had enough absence. He applied to WashU and was accepted into the Transfer Class of 2009.
First Home. 2011

The Big Apple. 2012
After graduation, Justin and Amanda loaded up the Tahoe and moved to their first shoebox in New York City, she pursuing a law degree and he following a career in product design.
The Ring. 2013
Justin knew that he wanted the ring to be special and unique to fit Amanda's personality. As an engineer, he was immediately drawn to the tension setting. Even though the ring was nothing like the type of ring Amanda thought she wanted, Justin knew her better than she knew herself (as usual). After four long months of waiting for the ring to be custom made, the day finally arrived.
The Proposal. 2014
After tricking Amanda into a romantic dinner alone, a very nervous Justin managed to continue the ruse and get Amanda to solve a puzzle. As you may have guessed, the code that Amanda solved was a proposal in disguise. As you may not have guessed, that was not the first time Amanda had seen that code. This code first appeared in Justin's entry in Amanda's yearbook after their first summer together. During their years together, Amanda asked, "What does my yearbook say?" a minimum of 1,000 times. Justin finally told her and received the answer he was hoping for.
