Jonny and Leanne

In Gascony, South West France the land of the Musketeers, lies the fortified village of Castelnau des Fieumarcon.

Surrounded by rolling countryside, perched on a hill within ancient stone walls we will be taking over this private village for what we hope will be an unforgettable weekend.

The village will play host to all three of our wedding events from Friday to Monday.

Swimming

There is a swimming pool, in a breathtaking location surrounded by the unspoiled French countryside! (It is open everyday, depending on weather conditions, between 10am and 8pm and is unsupervised.)

Tennis

There is a tennis court for use just outside the village walls (upon request at reception) Rackets and balls provided.

Table tennis

There is an outdoor ping pong table with bats (and cups)

Parking

There is plenty of parking available just outside the village walls. Please do not drive into the village during the wedding weekend.

According to Martin Lewis website there are varying release dates for flights.

Easyjet should be releasing flights in October

Ryanair typically release flights 5-6 months prior to departure.

We are currently waiting for direct flights to be released from Manchester / Liverpool.

From London, BA currently have a flight departing from Gatwick to Bordeaux at 12:55 (landing at 15:30) on Friday and returning on Monday at 18:45 for £57 return - to us, this is screaming book me!  This is through Skyscanner.

Alternatively, there are some early morning flights from both Stanstead and Heathrow to Toulouse if you want a bit more time in France.

In order to find the village, if you are landing at the airport of Toulouse/Blagnac please take the road to Auch, the N124. After about 30 km, a short cut through beautiful landscape is possible starting from l’Isle Jourdain and going through Cologne and Mauvezin all the way to Fleurance on the D654. Then simply drive north on the N21 in direction of Agen. Entering Lectoure, look for the road to Condom/Nerac on your left. About 200 meters after the railway and the river Gers, take the road to Nerac only, the D7. Then 3km and left in direction of Lagarde-Fimarcon (our commune). The main place of the village is a large green expand. After the tennis court can be seen our Monumental Stable building. Pass the Gothic porch, and you’re there! Welcome!
