Jhanvi and Milan first met in 8th grade Algebra. Jhanvi thought Milan was a typical brown basketball boy. Milan thought Jhanvi was such a nerd because she was so competitive during the classes’ weekly calculation competitions.
Though they were friendly, they didn’t talk again until the 11th grade when they had another class together, American Studies. Every day after school, Milan and his friends would ask Jhanvi for “help” on their homework—in reality, they just wanted the answers LOL.
One day, Jhanvi sent Milan the homework without him asking. They both took this to mean very different things. She thought she was being proactive. Meanwhile, he thought she was flirting. And the rest is history.
The crazy thing is, in their American Studies class, their teachers were known as matchmakers. They say that at least one couple per group assigned gets married. Jhanvi and Milan never believed in the stories past students told. But looks like it’s true!
After 8 years of being together, they share everything (not just homework). They went from classmates to group mates, to fiancés, and now they can’t wait to kick off their next chapter— as husband and wife!
