PLACES TO STAY

Hotels, Hostels, Best Locations

Madrid has a great metro (subway) system & many people refer to neighborhoods based on the closest metros. Use Google Maps to help find metros for the best location for you

*BEST NEIGHBORHOODS TO STAY IN: the center-center is Sol, which is where we will have most pre-wedding events. Then the quieter, yet centric neighborhoods to stay in would be Chamberí, Salamanca, Ibiza, Retiro, La Latina, Malasaña, Chueca, Lavapiés, Barrio de las Letras

*BEST METROS TO STAY CLOSE TO*: (line 1, light blue) Estación del Arte, Antón Martín, Tirso de Molina, Sol, Gran Via, Tribunal, Bilbao, Iglesia. Arrival to Madrid

By plane, train, (or automobile?)

PLANE: Airport is BARAJAS or also (newly) called ADOLFO SUAREZ. There are 4 Terminals. It's a 30€ flat rate by taxi to the center & takes 15-25min. It is also very accessible by metro & bus! Send us an email (better, a What'sApp)  & we will help you find the best route to get to where you are staying!

TRAIN: the main train station is Atocha. It is in the center of Madrid & is very accessible by metro. Taxis usually charge an extra fee for picking you up from the station, Cabify doesn't.

How to get around

metro. cabify. walk!

METRO: Once inside a station, head to the ticket machines. You'll need to get a card (looks like a credit card) to load up trips. The card is 1,50€, 10 trips are 12,50€ (total first time is 13,50€). Trips are for BUS & METRO.  Here is alink to the 24, 28 and week passes: https://bit.ly/2SLBBAZ

CABIFY/UBER/TAXI: The "cabify" app seems to be the best price/most efficient/nicest drivers. Download this (just like uber) to get around. "Uber" also exists here & taxis, too.

WALK: day or night, sometimes the fast way to get around is... walking! The whole center of Madrid is all doable on foot! Get those Google Maps ready!

Where we (H&J) live! Donde vivimos nosotros!

Come stop by! Que venís visitarnos!

We are not in the "center-center", but about 20-40min by metro (depending on where you're coming from) on the east side. Let us know when you'd like to stop by! We would love to have you over!
