On January 21, 2016, we met for the first time at our local Balzac’s coffee shop. Our mutual friend Dan set us up, and, well, the rest is history!
In August of 2016, we spent 5 days driving around beautiful Nova Scotia.
This was the first time Dave experienced the beauty of frozen lake walks in Buckhorn.
We moved in together in November of 2016 and have made this place our home over the last three wonderful years.
In October of 2017, our dear boy Remington entered our lives. Remi has been the best addition to our little family. We are both huge sucks and love him an unreasonable amount.
Our favourite time is when we all get to cuddle at the end of the day.
Dave supported Jessie throughout the stress of medical school and residency. She would not have maintained her sanity had he not been there to talk her through the difficult times.
We are lucky that we are able to share our love of eating and cooking every day. We especially loved these lobster rolls from PEI.
In June 2018, we had the opportunity to travel to Thailand together. We went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Koh Samui and ate so much delicious food.
Enough said.
During a trip to Aruba with my med school crew, we took one day to ourselves which included popping champagne by the water at sunset. It was insanely beautiful.
Dave proposed to Jessie on July 21, 2019 by the Grand River on a walk with little Remi. You will notice that the ring is on the right hand rather than the left. Jessie had just injured her left ring finger playing beach volleyball and it was extremely swollen. Dave was sneaky and proposed anyway.
We love spending the holidays in Buckhorn and Remi loves running on the lake and in the forest!
Weddings are always fun together.
We decided to get married on February 8, 2020, so that we could celebrate our union in the presence our immediate families. It was a perfect, small ceremony with a colourful officiant at St. Peter’s residence, the beautiful long term care home where Dave’s mom, Libby, lives.
We were expecting our baby boy May 15, 2021!
We bought our home in Dundas and moved in August of 2020. We love it here!
