We can both still remember the house party we first met at. It was a summer night in 2011 and Jen was up to her usual crazy antics. And by this we mean loud and forcing everyone to take vodka shots out of the small Smirnoff cap to the bottle she was running around with. It was in this moment Rob subconsciously realized he found his match; someone equally as loud, stubborn and outgoing. A friendship quickly blossomed, as we both felt an immediate chemistry and connection. Pretty soon Rob was making his move with a little liquid courage and dressed as a care bear, which really impressed Jen ;). It wasn't until he took Jen ice skating at the Bowness lagoon that December that they finally realized they were ready to make the friendship into something more. And so the start of the longest pre-proposal relationship was born, as Jen's mom likes to repeatedly point out to Rob. It was also how their first born son, Bow, got his name. The years to follow included lots of travel, hiking, backpacking, and trying new things together, complete with a proposal at the top of Lone Cone Mountain in Tofino. We cannot wait to continue a lifetime of this, starting with a celebration with all of you!!
