The Lakeside

Welcome to the Lakeside, nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, only 7 miles from the county town of Taunton. Set on the historic Cothelstone estate, our venue occupies Cothelstone Park, a rolling expanse of parkland, complete with a beautiful lake, approached by a winding tree-lined drive. The drive and parkland once served the grand Cothelstone House that was sadly demolished back in the 1960s.

Directions

Coming over the hills from Bridgewater: 

You'll pass the Cothelstone Manor on the right, continue for 1/3 of a mile and you will see a driveway with white railings and a round gatehouse on your right. Turn in and follow the drive until it opens into Parkland.

Coming from Taunton through Bishops Lydeard:

Drive out of Bishops Lydeard towards the Quantock Hills and Bridgwater. After approximately 1.5 miles you'll see a driveway with white railings and a gatehouse on your left. If you reach the Cothelstone Manor you've gone too far.

Parking at the Lakeside

There will be on site parking at the venue. Please follow the directions to the Lakeside and as you reach the end of the drive you will see signs to Parking. Please note that the parking is on grass and depending on the weather the grass may be wet.
