Block Island
The Day

For those of you who are traveling to RI for the first time and want a true Rhody experience (or if you just want more QT time with us!), we encourage you to stay an extra night and take the ferry with us to Block Island on Monday and have a beach party!  You could stay another night on BI or take the ferry back the same day. Absolutely zero pressure to do this - it's just something fun we're going to do for us and whoever wants to join.

More details to come.

Getting There
Getting There
T.F. Green Airport (PVD)

Flying into RI

There's only one option if you want to fly directly into RI and that's Providence/T.F. Green Airport (Airport code: PVD).  We recommend flying into here. It is a small and efficient airport and the closest to our wedding.

It's only about 30-45 minute drive to the wedding venue and 45-60 minutes to Middletown/Newport, depending on traffic.

You can get a lyft or uber here (we recommend lyft as it's a much shorter walk) or a car rental.

Boston Airport (BOS)

Flying into MA and driving to RI

If you really want to, you can fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS), but know you will be looking at sitting in summer beach traffic, which can be horrendous! What should be 1 hour and 30 minute drive to our wedding venue will likely be 3-5 hours. Car rental would be a must from here.

Train

Amtrak

If you are coming in from NY or NJ, take Amtrak to Kingston Station, RI.

From there you can get a cab or uber to your hotel.

**You cannot pick up a rental car here. You could uber or cab to a nearby rental car location.

About the Area - Where to Stay

Summer is a great time to visit RI, but it's a very busy time for tourists, which is why we've reserved room blocks for you all! Here is a little bit about your options of areas to stay -

Middletown - the town right next to Newport (where there's loads to do) is our first recommendation of where to stay. We have 2 hotels with room blocks here - Holiday Inn Express (not to be confused w/ the Holiday Inn in South Kingstown) & Courtyard Marriott. We will have buses to and from these venues to Dragonline, the wedding venue. You can uber or lyft from Middletown to Newport very easily for exploring. We recommend most people stay here.

South Kingstown - This is where Jenna and Matt grew up! The Holiday Inn is here. It's a bit less expensive, but there's not as much to do in the area. We will have a bus to and from the Holiday Inn for the wedding.

Newport - there is loads to do here and it's so much fun, but this will be the most expensive area to stay. We have a room block at the Newport Marriott. Very easy to get to the venue from here as it's just a quick drive over the Newport Bridge. You can also look for airbnbs in this area.

Jamestown - This is where we're getting married! But unfortunately there aren't any hotels on the island. You may be able to find an airbnb though.
