Things to Do

Sightseeing and Walk the Streets of San Miguel

The streets are alive; you can see it in the shades of yellow and orange that color every building, taste it in the incredible food available on every corner, and hear it in the way the mariachi play as people stroll by, laughing heartily as the bells of the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel ring again and again.

Visit La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel

Without a doubt, the emblem of the town is the stunning La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.

Its towering neo-Gothic façade is a true architectural masterpiece. It was built by the self-taught Zeferino Gutiérrez who is believed to have used postcards of European churches for inspiration.

Visit Fabrica La Aurora

For nearly 100 years, Fabrica La Aurora was a textile mill in the north of San Miguel de Allende. These days, it’s a bustling collection of shops, galleries, and cafes that many refer to as a paradise for art lovers.

If you want a beautiful hat (like everyone wears in San Miguel)- go to Heart of Mexico! They make beautifully hand crafted hats and are located in Section D (passing the duck pond and cafe).

San Miguel Wine Tastings

La Santisima Trinidad, San Lucas Vineyards and San Francisco Vineyards are from the same wine family in which they share the same concept- Wine.

If you are interested in doing a wine tasting make sure to check out their website.
