How it all began!

Our story began at Prairie View A&M University when Jazmine, then the President of Tau Beta Pi (Engineering Honor Society), posted the new semesters eligibility list for induction into the prestigious Honor Society. This particular semester was Richards first and last opportunity to join the organization. Richard soon learned that the day and time of the induction conflicted with his Thermodynamics II test that stood between him and graduation so he took all measures to pleed his case to the President who was the only one who could delay inductions to allows those still testing to attend.
Unfortunately, Tau Beta Pi never made it to Richards resume. From then on Richard recognized Jazmine as “the girl who kept him from getting inducted into the engineering honor society”, so he kept things at “hi” and “bye”. Little did he know one day he would call her his Wife.
Fast forward to Spring 2013, Jazmine graduated with her degree in Chemical Engineering and packed her car to move to Minneapolis, MN to work at General Mills. December 2014 , Richard graduated with his degree in Mechanical Engineering to work for General Electric in Boston, MA. The birds had officially left their home nest and were out in the real world.
Just a year after Richards graduation the two crossed paths again, while visiting family and friends in Houston for the holidays. Richard and Jazmine just so happen to run into each other at Prospect Park while meeting with friends. A light conversation, including an invite to Minneapolis from Jacksonville, Fl ( where Richard currently lived), ended in all smiles but two left without having exchanged phone numbers.
Days went by…..Jazmine and Richard could not stop thinking about how to get in contact with one another. THANKFULLY they shared a mutual friendship with Shawn Lester, whom they asked about each others relationship status and other necessary background information. Shawn was Jazmine’s long-time friend from Freshman year of college and Richards Line Brother. After weeks of vetting Richards seriousness (He was clearly more Jazmine’s friend than Richards) the digits were exchanged and the two began getting to know each other.
In August of 2016, single, Richard made his first trip to Minneapolis. After several delays, layovers, a night’s sleep in the airport, and a freestyle to the “So Gone challenge”, he ARRIVED! Jazmine greeted Richard with a confetti welcome and many hugs and kisses, the two birds were falling in love. The weekend, described, as “nothing short of amazing” ended in Richard and Jazmine committing to a Relationship…and the rest is history.
