Jayne & Nishan

IN NISHAN'S WORDS . . .
We first met in Bocas Del Toro, Panama while I was on a surf trip and Jayne was travelling from South America. My bud Big Mike chatted up Jayne and her friend Lena and invited them to meet up with us later. By that point I basically glued myself to Jayne until Young Blood (Chris) needed me to escort him home. We met up the next night and chatted for hours. We only had a few days left so I rented a boat to take us all fishing. Thinking I was going to show Jayne a few tricks she ended up teaching me how to open my eyes under water. We never did catch any fish that day. But I knew I had set up a pretty sweet date that Jayne would remember forever... until she blew me off a few months later.

NISHAN'S WORDS . . .
2.5 months after she visited me, I was on my first flight to Australia and I really didn't know what to expect. I knew that I wanted to find someone and also knew this was it! 3 full weeks with a person I had only met a handful of times. The moment I landed I was hit with parties and meeting family and friends. I honestly felt like I was home and have known these guys forever. As for Jayne, we spent the next 21 days together. I knew half way through that I loved this girl!

JAYNE'S WORDS . . .
We were both never destined to take the easy route. As a traveller I had seen myself living overseas, but never in the states or with a country-music loving, desert camping, Californian engineer/janitor/entrepreneur ;) But from day 1, it just worked. And it has done ever since!

We recommend staying a few days in Perth before driving down south to Yallingup. Here are a few of our suggestions:
1. Perth City - central location for accomodation, you can catch the ferry along the Swan River, try some great bars, restaurants and cafes
2. Kings Park- also located in the city, this park has a beautiful view of the city. Take some snacks and drinks to enjoy the sunset!
3. Rottnest Island - an island located close to Perth, this is a great day trip (or overnight if you have the time). Hire bikes to ride around the island, explore the beaches, and check out the local pub. You will need to book the ferry a few days in advance.
4. Perth Beaches - Cottesloe, Scarborough & Port Beach are some of our favs!
5. Freo Markets - famous markets in Fremantle (30 minutes from Perth City), check them out if you are in Perth on a Saturday or Sunday.
*Tip: Google Maps will get you everywhere! You may need to look into data usage whilst travelling (Nishan uses a $10 a day unlimited data deal with Verizon & uses wifi wherever possible).
The closest "city" to Yallingup, Dunsborough is located 10 minutes from Yallingup (you will drive through it on the way). Still a small town, but this has all of the amenities you need- grocery stores, cafes, pubs, shops etc.
More info on Dunsborough here
Margaret River is a 30minute drive from Yallingup/Dunsborough, and is another small tourist town nearby! Make a day of it with the family and check it out.

1. Meelup Beach
2. Castle Rock (right next to Meelup)
3. Bunker Bay
4. Injidup Beach
5. Eagle Bay
All located on google maps!
There are alot of family friendly activities in the South West including:
4. Discover Deadly Reptile Park

Here are some other places you can check out whilst in Yallingup. We suggest doing these before or after 8th - 12th Jan as we have some fun things planned for you during this time.
