We are stoked for you to join us at Oakwood Resort in Syracuse, Indiana, the weekend of June 16-18, 2023. We see this as an opportunity to bring together all the people we love, all at once, and are excited to spend the weekend with you!
We know some people won't want to rent a car and drive 2.5 hours, so we're hiring a shuttle. There is a bus pick up lot at the Ohare Hilton where the shuttle will pick up. Jared’s brother, Max, will be helping coordinate at the Hilton.
Rabbi Schicker will marry us at the Lakeside Gazebo. Everyone is invited, but we understand that it might be difficult to get there early Friday afternoon. If not, no worries! We’ll see you at the Welcome Dinner or Ceremony #2 on Saturday.
Dress is business casual. No coats/ties necessary, but wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
Zoom Link!
We know not everyone is able to travel. A kind friend of ours will livestream the ceremony on Zoom! Mark your calendars and note the time differences!

We will host a Friday night dinner for anyone who is able to make it! Shabbat is the Jewish Sabbath, day of rest, which starts at sundown on Friday night and runs through Saturday evening. It is customary to welcome in the day of rest with a few prayers before a communal meal. We liked the idea of a day of rest, built-in time each week to reflect and be present with those we love.
The boat will pick up by the dock near the large Gazebo in front of the resort. Dress is whatever you want to wear on a boat ride! Bathing suit, beach ware, shorts, etc. Or your wedding clothes if that’s what you need to do in order to be able to make it on the boat!

Oakwood Resort is on the waters of Lake Wawasee and runs 60 minute boat tours. The boat can take 44 people and we've coordinated a tour for the wedding at 1pm as a fun pre-wedding activity for anyone interested. Dress is whatever you want to wear on a boat ride! Bathing suit, beach ware, shorts, etc. Or your wedding clothes if that’s what you need to do in order to be able to make it on the boat!

The venue is a 2.5 hour drive from both Chicago (ORD) and Indianapolis (IND) airports, and a 1 hour drive from the smaller Fort Wayne (FWA) and South Bend (SBN) airports. While there are trains and buses from each that will get you close to the venue, you'll likely want to rent a car regardless of where you fly in.
We are planning on taking an extended honeymoon, multiple months, sometime in 2024 most-likely. We would love to come visit you! Anything to make that a reality, whether a place to stay, a picnic at your favorite local park, or an experience we could do together would be a glorious gift.
