IMPORTANT STUFF

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the resort ahead of the wedding and took away some important items that will help make your travel easier and more enjoyable!

ARRIVAL IN MEXICO
You will need two forms completed before you can enter the country. These forms are distributed on board
your flight to Mexico.

Temporary visa or tourist card - Every person entering the country must have one. You will present this as you go through Immigration at the airport; they will review all the necessary documents and stamp your temporary visa/tourist card and return it to you. SAVE THIS PIECE OF PAPER IN A SAFE PLACE. There is a penalty charge at the airport upon departure if you lose it.

Customs and Taxation Form - Only one per family is needed. You will submit this form to the Customs agent after you have retrieved your luggage.

The flight attendants are very helpful and can answer any questions you may have regarding either of these forms; but very rarely do they have a pen for you to use or extra forms.

HOTEL SERVICE
The Service at the resort is amazing, and made even better with the help of 2 apps we recommend you download before your trip:

1. Whatsapp: Communication with the team on the resort is made easy with this app. You can request things like:
    ○ Refilling your mini bar (our personal favorite)
    ○ Making Dinner reservations
    ○ Arranging taxi (if needed)
    ○ Anything that you may need to make your stay more pleasurable

2. The Grand Palladium App: This app will provide you all information needed about the resort. Restaurants (and when they are open), restaurant menus, site maps, and the ability to make dinner reservations!

WATER
We've all been given the "don't drink the water in Mexico" speech a time or two. Fortunately, our chosen Resort TRS Coral and sister resort Grand Palladium have a filtered water system so water served at all restaurants is SAFE! This also goes for fruit, vegetables, and other items that may be washed at the resort. If you're still not convinced, bottled water is provided daily to your room and additional bottled water can be requested any time. If you intend to venture off the resort, drink at your own risk!

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

As much as we were hoping we could omit any lingering COVID content from our wedding day, we are aware of the continued spread of the virus and want to stress that our number one priority is your health and safety. We have gathered some important items to know for your travel to ensure you stay safe and can travel easily:

Entering Mexico: There is no requirement for vaccination or negative COVID testing prior to leaving the US or to enter Mexico.

Returning to the US: A negative COVID test 1 day prior to your return is required to enter back into the US regardless of your vaccination status.

TRS Coral has testing at the resort that is very easy. You will schedule a test upon arrival for 1 day before your departure. Results will be sent to your e-mail within a few hours. Present the emailed results at the Cancun Airport along with your vaccination card (if you have one).

Masks: Most airlines and airports require masks at all times. The resort requires masks when in enclosed areas (restaurants or lobby) masks can be removed once you're seated.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I TEST POSITIVE AT THE RESORT?
The resort has an isolation block of rooms offered to guests if they test positive during their stay. This is at no cost to you and you will be allowed to stay up to 5 days or until you test negative, whichever is shorter. Food and beverage will be brought to you and the hotel staff will check on you.

There is a doctors office on site if any case should escalate.
