Mikey and Jami have been in each other's lives since before they can even remember. They first met at sleepaway camp, Camps Equinunk and Blue Ridge, and became fast friends the summer of 2013. As Mikey was from Boca, and Jami from Long Island, the next few summers were a special time for both of them to spend time together, forming a close bond that resulted in the best of friends.
During their senior years at high school, Mikey and Jami were both accepted to the Business School at the University of Michigan. They were so thankful and excited to know that they each had a best friend to navigate a new school with. Meeting back up in Ann Arbor the Fall of 2016, the two started spending a majority of their time together. From coordinating schedules, sitting in classes together, eating lunch in the dining hall with each other, even holding hands in the diag, Mikey and Jami realized they were just happy and felt so natural doing everything together with their best friend.
Despite how close they were, Mikey and Jami swore to their friends, and each other, they were the best of friends and nothing more. Jami even visited Mikey in Boca over winter break their freshman year, but they miraculously kept their relationship platonic, carefully protecting their invaluable friendship. However, once back in Ann Arbor for 2nd semester, they quickly realized their feelings for one another were undeniable. Mikey finally admitted to Jami that he really liked her more than just a friend. But neither one of them wanted to end up losing their best friend of the past 5 years.
Their feelings for one another were undeniable, so although daunting, the two decided just to see where things went. Within a few short weeks they had truly fallen for each other.
Since Mikey asked Jami to be his girlfriend in January 2017 of their freshman year at Michigan, the two have been inseparable! They spent the next 3 1/2 years in Ann Arbor working hard and enjoying each other. The two of them even went abroad to Barcelona their junior year and came back even more in love.
7 years later they are still the best of friends who cherish each other and make each other laugh every single day. Mikey and Jami have the most special, unconditional, deep love that life can offer. They consider themselves the luckiest to people in the world and can't wait to continue their love story as husband and wife!
On a rainy day in Miami, Mikey had to make a last minute change of plans for his impending proposal. He quickly pivoted from a grandiose outdoor beach proposal to an intimate and incredibly romantic indoor proposal in their suite at the 1 Hotel.
After a full day out in Miami watching football together, Jami thought she was coming back to their room to shower and get ready to go to the Heat Game. Much to her surprise, Mikey had the entire hotel room set up with hundreds of roses, rose petals, candles, dozens pictures of the two of them over the years, and a giant "Marry Me" sign that lit up the room in the most romantic way.
Mikey brought Jami inside and told her how much he loved her and wanted her to spend the rest of their lives together - to which Jami exclaimed "OF COURSE"!
