FAQs

OH, WAIT, THERE’S TWO EVENTS?

Yes, we’re blessed to be able to have two events - with each one focused on our unique cultural backgrounds.
While we would love to have more guests come to our Chinatown New York Cultural Ceremony, we unfortunately are only allowing a small group of family and bridal party members to this event, but we are excited for our Vietnam Event, which is where most of our guests will be attending!

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE?

For the New York, Flushing Ceremony:
Dress to impress.
For the women: cocktail dresses, dressy suits/jumpsuits, heels, formal flats.
For the men: suits, button-down shirts, dress shoes, and belts.

For the Vietnam Reception:
 Black Formal.

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES?

Yes, but please wait until after the ceremony to take pictures. We ask that people do not take pictures with their phones during ceremony to avoid interfering with the professional photographers. Thanks for understanding!

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Absolutely!
We couldn’t imagine it any other way :)

ARE THERE HOTEL BLOCKS?

Yes, please see the "Events" or “Planning for Vietnam” page for details about our hotel blocks.

DO YOU HAVE A GIFT/CASH REGISTRY?

We’re lucky to have all that we need. However, if you’re interested in helping out with our Honeymoon Fund, our Venmo accounts are @Yang_Jiwei and @Lauren-Nguyen-66 if you’d like a more digital and convenient alternative.

IS THERE A WEDDING HASHTAG?

Yes! Our hashtag is #TheNguyenToMyYang. Please tag all of your posts so we can look back at all of those moments.
