COVID-19
Hello everyone!
We just want to keep you all in the loop on what is going on due to the circumstances that is currently happening around the world with a possibility of impacting our wedding day.
Air Transat ceased their operations until April 30th, 2020. They are working around the clock changing booking dates for those who have booked for March and April. They have not released any information about May and the upcoming months after that.
Amanda B., our travel agent, has advised me that the wedding is still on but we will only know for sure by the end of April. There is a possibility that this will all clear up and operations will be back to normal OR it just gets worst and they decide to cease their operations into May and so on (possibly until summer).
With that being said, I know it raises a lot of questions, concerns and stress. I never thought in a million years that this would happen to us. It is completely out of anyone's control. All we can do is wait and see how things will change day by day.
When we reach the end of April and things do not clear up or it gets worst, I would unfortunately need to change the wedding date. Ryan and I have been discussing on several back up dates between the end of November, end of February or May 23rd, 2021.
Majority of us made the full payment already and due to the circumstances, Amanda has advised me that there will be no extra charge or penalty for changing the date. The only reason we would pay an extra charge is if we choose a date that is more expensive than what we paid for. Do not worry, we are definitely choosing a date that is the same price and of course, out of the hurricane season too.
Your health and safety is our main concern. You all mean so much to us and I wouldn't want to put any of us at risk. Of course, I'm trying to stay positive in hoping things will get better and that we can look forward to this date but I would want us to go if it is 100% safe to do so without us needing to quarantine after returning home. When we reach the end of April and it isn't 100% safe, we will change the date immediately.
Let us know if you have any questions and feel free in reaching out to give us feedback on which month works best for you and your family (or plus one) incase we do have to change the date. If we get any new updates, we will let you all know as soon as we can
Love you all, and please stay safe xox

Covid-19 [Round 2]
To our dearest guests,
I can't believe I have to write this message to you all once again. We presumed that the wedding would happen this month but, unfortunately, Covid-19 kicked us in the butt once again. Air Transat ceased their operations down south for the time being due to the pandemic. Along with the new procedures such as a 14 day hotel quarantine when we arrive into Canada at our OWN expense (est. $2000), and Covid tests prior to leaving Mexico, it just wouldn't make sense to continue on. Incase anyone has Covid and can't travel back home to Canada, we don't have it in our hearts to leave one of our close family members or dearest friend behind. Also, we don't want any of our family members or friends to pay over $2000 to stay at a hotel that is a few minutes away from your home, and to take EXTRA vacation days because of the 14 day quarantine rule.
We never predicted it to be this bad, but we are hoping that 2022 will finally be on our side. Therefore, we postponed it for May 23rd, 2022! The travel dates will be May 20th-27th, 2022.
Amanda has reached out to most of you if you'd like to rebook for 2022 or take the travel credit. Refunds are allowed to those who paid for travel insurance through the travel agency.
For those of you who are willing to come for 2022, please email amanda or give her call, and she will gladly arrange your flights and stay.
Ryan and I decided to give this another try for next year, and we would like to inform you that this will be our last push in planning this wedding. Be prepared for new changes that may occur for next year such as a possibility of vaccination requirements and/or covid tests.
The only way we would cancel completely is if Air Transat won't fly there next year, or if the 14 hotel quarantine stay is still happening.
If so, we would unfortunately have to cancel the entire event and plan something small and local, and you would be able to use your travel credits when it is safe to fly again.
Hope you are all doing well, and thank you all for your understnading.
We love you guys and stay safe!
