Days after moving to a new home in the San Francisco Bay Area the governor announced a stay in place order in an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The subsequent quarantine meant that we weren’t able to have guests in our new home for months. In September Gregory organized a small housewarming dinner party with the handful of close friends in our social bubble. The housewarming party turned out to be an elaborate ruse for Gregory to propose! An already beautiful evening with an amazing five course dinner went from great to perfect when Gregory got down on one knee. We are so grateful that we were able to share that once in a lifetime moment with dear friends.
As of Autumn 2021 the two of us have been friends for twelve years, which is just crazy! We met during a production of Rent at Dede Clark’s kidsActing in east Austin, Gregory played Benny and Ivey ran lights. Sincerely grateful to Dede and her studio for bringing us together, she is responsible for many of our lifetime friendships (including one of our beautiful bridesmaids, Haley!)
