Accommodation
Closer to our wedding day, we recommend staying in Constantia, Newlands or Bishopscourt which are a short uber ride to our venue. As a reference, Constantia is 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, 20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront depending on traffic, and is where the Constantia wine route is located. It is also where we will be staying. The below hotels, bed & breakfasts and Airbnbs are in these areas.
If you are staying longer in Cape Town, Bantry Bay, Clifton, and Camps Bay are also great areas that are closer to the ocean and city nightlife. These will be a 30-45 minute uber ride from the Cape Town International Airport depending on traffic. If you need accommodation recommendations for these areas, please email Holly at hheitman27@gmail.com. African City Guide and Perfect Hideaways are also great resources.
However, we recommend exploring as much of South Africa as you can while you are here. Spend a few nights out in the Cape winelands and make sure to go on safari. There are places closer to Cape Town on the travel tab, but if you need recommendations closer to Kruger, please reach out.
More resources: two of Holly’s favorite travel bloggers/planners are the Blonde Abroad (lived in Cape Town) and Lauren Grubb Travel Co.
Airbnb, VRBO and Perfect Hideaways are two great options. If you need help finding another rental, please reach out!
Perfect Hideaways has a portfolio of farms, villas, houses, cottages and boutique hotels. They are a great option for groups staying in Cape Town for a week or more.
