As many of you know, we first met when Stuart and the Thurlow crew turned up to a Coogee Tri Club swim squad. As you can tell from the photo, Di was first attracted to Stuart's wonderful personality and kind nature...
Stuart wasn't quick to pick up on Di's very obvious signals and there followed a couple of months of sharing lifts to swimming before he finally twigged!
Coogee Triathlon Club has played a huge part in our lives and we've enjoyed many weekends away with great friends at the club, taking part in triathlons around the country. Needless to say, there is always some "friendly" rivalry between us (current score is 8:1, but who to?!)
We can't wait to celebrate with lots of our CTC friends!
We have happily settled in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, recently buying an apartment in Randwick, and love being so close to some of Sydney's most beautiful beaches. We can't wait to show our friends and family from the UK this wonderful city we now call home - get those budgy smugglers* ready!
*google them if you've not heard of them - Stuart has quite a collection these days!
The reason we exercise so much is so we can eat as much as we want! We had to rein in our weekly Messina (gelato) addiction as things were getting messy...
Needless to say, we'll be making sure you're well fed and watered at the wedding!
Stuart proposed in Barrington Tops National Park. We swam in the pool behind us in the photo in literally the coldest water you can imagine (yes, everything shrivelled up), had a picnic and Stuart then got down on one knee and popped the question. He had asked both of Di's parents for their blessing and, seeing as they love Stuart even more than Di, they were ecstatic! Needless to say, we were both buzzing with excitement and couldn't wait to share the news with our loved ones.
We thought we'd have a very efficient 12 months and fit a baby in before the wedding - we are thrilled to bits that little Miss Henderson will be arriving in August and is looking forward to meeting you all at the wedding.
To update you, we now have little Phoebe, born on 24th August, who'll be joining the fun in Oberon!
We can't wait to get married and we'd love nothing more than to have our best friends and family with us on the day xxx
