What to know
Wedding Shuttles
Guests can take Ubers/Lyfts/Taxis/Rental Cars to the venue. Please carpool as availability can be limited in a small town.
Shuttles will be provided Saturday night night from the venue back to the AC Hotel in Downtown Missoula from 9PM-11pm.
Missoula Montana Airport (MSO)
Please book flights as early as possible as this is a small airport. The airport you fly into is the Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) unless you are planning on starting your journey somewhere else. The Airport is only 10 minutes from Downtown Missoula where our hotels are located.
Please note that Monday June 19th is a Federal holiday. Most people will be flying in on Thursday 6/15 and flying back on Monday 6/19.
Uber/Lyft/Taxi
Ubers, Lyfts and taxis all operate in Missoula and are the preferred method of transportation for our time there.
Car Rental
Most people will be fine using Uber, Lyft, a taxi or walking around town. However, if you plan on exploring the surrounding area or need a rental car for any reason, there are several rental options available at the Missoula Montana airport: Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, Budget and Alamo. We would recommend booking early as prices go up and availability is limited in the summer months.
Glacier National Park
Dubbed the "Crown of the Continent Ecosystem", Glacier National Park is a truly stunning National Park spread across more than one million acres and 700+ miles of trails. Glacier is a beautiful 2.5 hour drive North from Missoula, you will need a car to get there.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is another incredible National Park with amazing scenery and a multitude of wild animals. It is a beautiful 4.25 hour drive from Missoula, you will need a car to get there.
Hiking
There are tons of great hikes in and around Missoula. 2 popular ones we'd recommend are 1) The M (moderately difficult but a short 1.2m roundtrip). 2) Waterworks Hill (relatively easy 3.5m roundtrip).
Summer Concert Series
Big Sky Brewing Company hosts a summer concert series. More info to follow when the 2023 schedule is released.
Restaurants
There are a ton of great dining options in Missoula, we have never been to a bad place there. As it is a small town, we recommend you make reservations in advance. Here are some of our favorites...
Restaurants: 1889 Steakhouse, James Bar, Plonk Missoula, Top Hat, and The Camino (all walkable from the AC Hotel).
Casual Eats: Missoula Club, The Notorious P.I.G. (all walkable from the AC Hotel).
Breweries: Tamarac Brew Co & Conflux Brewing (very close to AC Hotel). Draught Works (20 min walk from ACH Hotel, but has a nice outside balcony).
Breakfast/Coffee Shops: Butterfly Herbs & Bagels on Broadway (walkable from AC Hotel). And for Yellowstone fans, it requires a short drive but Ruby's Cafe is a fantastic diner where they filmed an episode in season 4.
Ice Cream: Do yourself a favor, don't leave without getting some Huckleberry ice cream! Best spots in town include Sweet Peaks Ice Cream & Big Dipper Ice Cream (walkable from AC Hotel). Butterfly Herbs also does a great Huckleberry shake.
