Getting to San Miguel de Allende
Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) OR Quertaro International Airport (QRO)
There are two airport options to get to San Miguel de Allende, BJX and QRO. Prices vary depending on the departing the airport. We suggest you look into both options and see what works best for you!
*Note: QRO is a smaller airport but closer to San Miguel.*
Also, when filling out the online immigration/customs forms, the airport name for QRO is "Aeropuerto Intenacional Ing. Fernando Espinoza Gutiérrez"
Guests will need to take a taxi or shuttle from the airport to San Miguel which is about a 45-60 minute drive.
We will be using “Camionetas Para Bodas” as our main transportation provider.
We have sent all flight information provided to the transportation company and they will be scheduling rides for all guests – unless you have otherwise told us that you do not need a ride.
We recommend that when you confirm your transportation with the company, (either by phone or email below) that you provide your flight and hotel information to ensure accuracy.

The cost will be between $20-40 per person, each way, depending on how many people are in the vehicle. Feel free to request a private car if you do not wish to share a ride. The company requires at least a 30% deposit paid via PayPal at the time of scheduling to reserve your ride.
If you do not wish to pay the entire amount via PayPal, please just be sure to have cash (pesos or dollars) to give the driver to cover the remainder of the fee + a tip if you would like to leave one.

The best way to get around San Miguel de Allende is on foot. Some of the most exciting discoveries in the town can be found along its winding walkways! Just be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes; cobbled, narrow streets can be tough on feet!
If walking is not an option, there are taxis and Uber available throughout the city at a low cost and most drivers speak English.
The airport does have car rental options, but keep in mind that the streets in San Miguel are VERY narrow. Our recommendation is that if you are to stay in San Miguel for the entirety of your trip, a rental is not necessary.
