What is a Pithi?

The Pithi (also referred to as “Haldi”) is a joyful and fun occasion in which family & friends bless the bride with well wishes. Guests take turns applying turmeric paste to the bride's face and arms, which is believed to bring out a bright pre-wedding glow!

Dress Code

Guests may wear the same outfit they wear to the Sangeet.

What is a Sangeet?

The word "Sangeet" translated means "music". The Sangeet is a colorful night of song and dance to celebrate the union of the couple and their respective families! Guests can also get their henna done here.

Transportation

For those taking the shuttle to the venue, meet at the JW Marriott Conference Center Entrance, one level below the Cibolo Ballroom. Please get there no later than 3:45pm; shuttles will leave promptly at 4:00pm.

There will be 2 waves of shuttles back from the venue at 11:30pm and 1:00am. Feel free to take either!

What to expect

This will be a traditional western/American wedding day to include a ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and PARTY.

Please note that the ceremony is for ages 10 and above. Onsite childcare will be provided during the ceremony. All children are welcome to join celebrations after the ceremony concludes.

Dress Code

Black tie. Floor-length gowns for women, and suits or tuxes for men. If you’d like to wear Indian, feel free!
