Where to Stay?

When booking hotels we suggest comparing Hotels.com, Booking.com, and Skyscanner. If you are booking an apartment use Air BNB or VRBO. Compare all booking sites to get the best value.

We have also provided an interactive Google map. We have marked out exactly which areas you should stay in, so when booking your accommodation use the Map View and have our map open in another tab so you can see where the hotels are in comparison to our map.

We strongly suggest booking accommodation within the boxed-off areas. Any accommodation that you book within these boxed areas will be a great choice, so don't worry. Click the Red House symbol on the map learn more about the area.

Where to stay during the wedding (6th - 8th of May)?

During the days of the wedding, we would suggest staying in one of two areas of Charleston: Downtown or Mount Pleasant.

Downtown Charleston
For the full Charleston experience, we recommend staying in the beautiful downtown area. Here is where you will find the southern architectural charm, the old cobblestone streets, the colonial-style homes, and endless cafes, restaurants, and bars.

**Buses to the Wedding Ceremony will be leaving from one pick-up area in Downtown Charleston and will go straight to the ceremony site. However, you can easily Uber to this pick-up point from Mount Pleasant**

**After the wedding reception, there will be an after-party at a downtown bar. The buses will take us all from the venue to downtown, and from there you can walk or Uber back to your hotel.**

Mount Pleasant
This area is about a 10 min drive from Downtown Charleston where you will find some much more affordable hotels and accommodation. Mt. Pleasant is also very close to both Sullivan's Island Beach and Isle of Palms Beach. Shem Creek is another beautiful area in Mt. Pleasant full of harbourside restaurants and bars. Charleston Harbour Resort & Marina is also located in this area (a large resort-style accommodation with golf courses, fishing, and private beaches).

Staying After or Before The Wedding?

Folly Beach
If you are planning on staying in Charleston after the wedding and want to be close to the water and experience a small beach town full of restaurants, bars, fishing, and surfing, then Folly is a great option. You can find beach rentals, apartments, and hotels in this area. Folly is about 25 mins from Downtown.

Isle of Palms
Located on the far east side of Charleston, you will find some larger hotel resorts that are directly on the beach. This area is very secluded from the rest of Charleston and is a 35 min drive from the city. Here you will find some larger resort-style hotels with Golf Courses, larger amenities, and beaches.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about booking your hotel!
