It seems appropriate that we first met while working at Hong Kong’s first craft beer festival, Beertopia! Victoria didn’t feel sparks, and thought their first “date” was a work meeting on potential collaborations... Also worth noting that 4 of the 6 bridesmaids were present for their very first interactions!
What really solidified our relationship was the support and understanding we have from and for each other through our start-up careers- something hard to explain unless you’ve experienced. The ups and downs are a roller coaster ride, oftentimes daily, and there’s no one we’d rather share the tears of both pain and joy with!
The Woods is Victoria’s drinks lifestyle brand and cocktail bar in Hong Kong. Max was lucky enough to be by her side as she started down her journey as an entrepreneur.
One of our favourite places in the world- sitting anywhere overlooking the rolling hills of vines in Napa Valley, California. We come back at least once a year. Our favourite wineries to visit are Continuum, Gargiulo, and Mayacamas. RAEN from the Sonoma coast, made by the next generation Mondavis, is one of our all time favourite wines! Here’s to hoping we’ll be able to retire here one day!
We love Art Central and Art Basel week in Hong Kong, when the city is buzzing with beautiful art and beautiful people! (This is also the only time Max is allowed to wear these green pants.) We both share a fondness for contemporary design, which bodes well for our future abodes.
We've been lucky enough to eat at some of the best restaurants in the world together - including Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, Noma at their pop-up in Sydney, Australia, The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa, and Pujol in Mexico City. We’re sure life will continue to be filled with culinary adventures, both in 50 Best establishments and cooking at home.
It’s our favourite (boozy) meal of the day and we love to have friends over. Max loves to cook and experiment with new recipes while Victoria's bloody mary's and mimosas start the morning right.
Globetrotting is in our DNA - from the cenotes of Mexico to the canals of Venice. Here’s us in the snowy mountains of Telluride where you are all invited to come spend a winter getaway with us!
We’re both happier at sea! Victoria spent a college semester abroad living on a cruise ship sailing to 10 countries while doing coursework (does that even count as school?) and Max spends many weekends competitive sailing. We dream of yachts and nothing on the horizon!
As we all know Max is the ultimate prep. His sports include golf, sailing, squash, and tennis. But Victoria's love for the sea has brought her sailing and will surely be one of many adventures.
Or lack thereof. Max can’t sing, Victoria can’t dance.

It took some convincing, but we took the plunge (as dog people) into cat parenthood. Gin and Whiskey, the cats, are now an integral part of our household and rising Instagram stars @whiskeyandgin_thecats!
A drizzly walk in the woods ended with a surprise on the steps of Max’s family home here in Aschbach. Max’s cousin Dominick was kind enough to play paparazzi - with hidden cameras around the bushes, too! There were dozens of candles and our favourite Champagne waiting right past the front door, so he had to stop Victoria from charging up the steps before he asked ...
Before you ask where we're headed after the wedding... we’re foregoing the traditional honeymoon! Travel is so embedded into our lives that we are lucky enough to call it the norm ✈️ Where to next??
