Several years after they graduated from Boston College, Gerrel decided to shoot his shot by liking one of Gabriela’s Facebook pictures while she was teaching abroad in Madrid. What was he thinking?! Luckily for him, this sparked a casual dialogue between the two, which later evolved into a cross Atlantic rendezvous in Las Vegas. It’s safe to say what happened in Vegas did not stay in Vegas!
Months later, the stars aligned and they moved back to Boston where they laid the foundation for their future. Over the past six years they’ve traveled the globe, become foodies, run marathons & Spartan Races across the country and have only missed a couple of Coachella Music Festivals. They are truly best friends; everything is better when they do it together.
The couple traveled to Paris for what Gabriela thought was a trip to celebrate a close friend’s birthday. Prior to the “event”, Gerrel surprised Gabriela with a romantic tour down the Seine River. When the captain stopped in front of the Eiffel Tower, Gerrel got down on his knee and asked Gabriela to marry him. Without hesitation, she exclaimed “100%, yes!”. Little did she know, when the boat docked, she would also be surprised by the sight of some of their closest friends running toward them.
Gabriela and Gerrel’s unbreakable partnership is a product of the village that surrounds them. The love and support from their village brought them to this moment - a moment that they cannot wait to celebrate with you!
