FRANCINE’S VERSION:
It all started with swiping right and it ended up being the perfect God ordained RIGHT.
After many years of being told to try a non conventional way of meeting new people. I finally gave in to give it a try. That decision led me to an app called Bumble. Being new to Bumble, I was trying different settings, I then accidentally put my profile on travel mode which led to thousands of men from Vancouver matching with my profile.
I was so confuse at first as to what was going on and how all these guys are finding me yet I live in Winnipeg.
In those thousands of men, Spencer was among them. What stood out most about Spencer’s profile was the fact that he was open about his faith with Jesus Christ. Of course his smile was very captivating. Oh and him being into fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.
Being a Christian myself , finding a man that shared my faith and who has a personal relationship with Jesus was a non negotiable quality I was looking for in long time partner.
To cut the story short, I sent him a
Complimentary message on how I appreciated him being proud of his faith. We kept talking for a while online before we upgraded to phone calls and video chat.
It didn’t take long to know he is the one I have been waiting for my entire life
SPENCER’S VERSION:
Francine and I met on bumble. When I saw her profile, I thought that she was definitely pretty, but what caused me to swipe right was her expression of faith in Jesus. I tease Francine that she tricked me with her profile because it said she was in BC (my home province) on “vacation”. However she was in Manitoba! Turns out that she was still figuring out the app and couldn’t turn off the vacation mode. What seemed like a mistake turned into a divine set up! We quickly clicked and found that we had a lot in common....

SPENCER:
Although I was a little sceptical of long-distance dating, I knew that Francine was worth the risk! We talked for hours about God, our dreams, likes, dislikes, family, our life experiences, politics, philosophy and so much more. Several times I would lose track of time and come to realize that we had been talking for 4 to 5 hours in one sitting!
Neither of us wanted to waste each others time, so we interrogated each other! Finally we decided to take a Christian dating/relationship course called “defining the relationship“ through the ministry called ‘Loving on Purpose’. At the end of the course there was a compatibility test that statistically only 35% of people pass; we took the test and ended up being a part of that 35%!
We continued to stay connected through regular prayer time, Bible studies, texts, phone calls, video calls, online movie watching, social media etc. But eventually I knew that it was time to come to Manitoba and see Francine in person and meet her family. By this time, I had a feeling that she was the ‘one’ but I wanted confirmation and knew that being together in person and experiencing her family would help to reassure me that God was bringing us together for the purpose of marriage.
When I arrived in Manitoba, for Thanksgiving weekend, I was greeted like royalty! Francine gave me flowers and wanted to carry my bags! I was blown away! I have never had a woman do that for me before...
We thoroughly enjoyed our time together during that trip. Francine’s family was absolutely amazing! They are hospitable, kind, fun loving, God-fearing, generous, genuine people!
When I returned home from the trip I knew that she was the one for me so I began ring shopping and making proposal plans....
FRANCINE:
There is so much to talk about our dating journey so, I will try and keep it short.
Dating Spencer has been one of the best experience of my life.
The first time I talked with SH, there was a sense of peace that I felt, that I've never felt before. I knew right away that he was the one. But the moment I really confirmed my feelings ,that I had fallen in love with him was when he came to visit me in Winnipeg for the first time.
I recall dropping him at the airport to return to BC, and I felt like a piece of me just left with him.
From our conversation, to us taking a pre- relationship course and seeking God, every minute together has been a confirmation of my love for him and how he's my soulmate.
One of the beautiful things I love and enjoy about our relationship, is the fact that early on in our dating, we made a decision to put God first and allow him to leads us, to choose one another and be transparent, to make God and our connection a top priority.
We pray and fast every week and doing virtual date nights which has been a huge instrument in building a great foundation for our relationship.
Loving Spencer has been so fulfilling and the best moments of my life ( honestly It’s hard to articulate how loving him has been a life changing experience for me) . Everyday our journey gets better and stronger which has a lot to do with us seeking God, being intentional with our communication and making our connection a top priority.
FYI, Our love story needs a full book :)

SPENCER:
I think very highly of Francine Bahati.
On the outside, she is absolutely gorgeous to me!! That’s a fact!
On the inside, Francine is a kind hearted, loving, sensitive, considerate, caring person who truly loves God. I am attracted to her way of being and I am signed up as a “top fan” in her business endeavours with Queenfidence Cosmetics.
I love the connection she has with her siblings, specifically her sisters. They are an amazing group of women that support each other tremendously.
I believe in Francine and am committed to supporting her in all her current and future endeavours. She is now my friend, prayer partner and fiancé and know she will make an excellent future wife, lover, mother and business partner!
Francine:
There’s so much to write about Spencer R Heslep. He loves God and loves to spend time in prayer. He is the kindest and most giving man I ever met. First of all he’s so sexy with the most beautiful smile that I am obsessed with.
Aside from his outside beauty, Spencer is very loving and loves to affirm people.
He is smart, goal oriented , Very organized, thoughtful, a great leader with such a big heart. He cares so deeply about his friends and family.
His love for jesus, people and his passion to mentor and impact people are some of the things that catches my attention.
Did I mention he gives the best massages? Yes he does! I look forward to having him As my official massage therapist :).
I'm beyond blessed that God trusted me with his heart and to have him as my life partner and best friend.

Francine had planned a trip to come visit me in BC during the remembrance day week in November. I knew it would be a great opportunity to propose, so with the help of my friends Alex and Andreas Fisher, I set out to envision the occasion. I decided to plan the proposal around a photo shoot, so we could capture the act on camera. We went to the Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver to take in the sights and “take some pictures“... as the tour went on the anticipation began to build, and as we were posing for a “couples shot“ in the outdoor garden, I pulled out the ring, confessed my love, asked her to marry me and she said yes!

Our big day is soon aproaching and we can’t wait to do life together.
