FIsayo and I should have met many years ago, but we met on a beautiful summer afternoon in a backyard at a cookout (a cookout I was totally going to skip). My friend Segun (best man) was adamant that I come out and hang out, I am glad that I listened to him because that chance encounter changed the trajectory of my life.
I arrived at the cookout and I immediately start wondering who is this cute bubbly girl with the cat eye glasses and pretty face. We started talking and we just hit it off right off the bat. Once I noticed how much I was enjoying our conversation I asked my group chat does anyone know this girl (chaos ensued, shout out Rozina lol).
She wanted to play ping pong and I jumped at the opportunity to play with her. We had such a fun time playing ping pong and talking. It felt like we talked for hours that afternoon/evening. I stepped away from her for a moment and all of a sudden she was gone.
That next day I went through Instagram to search every Fisayo that I could find till I got her page. We exchanged numbers shortly after and have never stopped talking to each other since.
Mayowa and I met at a cookout. I remember thinking "Wow this guy is paying a lot of attention to me for me to be standing here in leggings and a t-shirt". There was just something about him. He was funny, he used big words that I had no idea what they meant (and still don't), and he was the only one that would get up and play ping pong with me. If you ask him he will say he let me win, but I cheated so I know I won fair and square. We started separate conversations and by the time I came back he was gone so unfortunately he didn't get my number that night . I was on the phone with my friend (Toun Bridesmaid) the next day telling her that I met this amazing guy and I was going to try and find him on instagram later. About 10 minutes after hanging up he Dm'ed me and the rest is history
