Things to Do

Brevard Zoo

A world class zoo right in Melbourne with lots of fun activities for all ages.

Airboat Tours at Camp Holly

Taking an airboat tour is a great way to see alligators & other Florida wildlife in their natural habitat.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

A great way to explore a Florida marsh. It's an easy drive to see birds and other wildlife and is a beautiful place to take photos, especially at sunset.

Flights

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

This is the major airport in the region with tons of flights arriving from just about everywhere. It is about an hour northwest of Melbourne.

Orlando-Melbourne International Airport (MLB)

A small airport that is the closest option and very convenient. Most flights arrive from Atlanta on Delta airlines. If you don't mind a connection, you can fly directly into Melbourne.

Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB)

A small regional hub for discount airlines like Allegiant. A great option if you can find a flight. It's located about 90 minutes northwest of Melbourne.

LOCAL HIGHLIGHTS

Downtown Melbourne Main Street

The historic downtown and shopping center. Some favorites include: The Shoppes at Strawbridge (pick up samples of chocolate covered potato chips or Southern Caramels both made in Melbourne), Here's the Scoop (try the Italian ice or housemade ice cream), Meg O'Malley's (for a casual bite), Crush XI (for a fancier bite or great cocktail), El Ambia Cubano (great Cuban food), Quarters Brewing Company (for their retro arcade games), and our very favorite of them all New Haven Books (for finding hidden treasures in their stacks of used books).

Eau Gallie Arts District (and Murals)

A historic neighborhood (just near the church) and growing arts district. A fun place to spot murals, many of which were painted as part of the Anti-Gravity Project in 2017.
